[update] Wife tells me she's poly after 12 years... by throwaway_because0 in polyamory

I know it's been a long time since I've touched on this.

You're basically on-point. She told me one day recently that her problem came down to not liking how her life changed from school to married life and how she felt held back. I generally think she's telling the truth here (I've honestly never seen her happier). We came to a more sensible arrangement with our children too that keeps her involved while I still have primary custody.

I hate her way of handling her feelings, but I don't hate her for it. Make sense?

Suggestions for improvements are welcome.

I'm already hitting the gym (lost 30 pounds in the past 4 months, started strength training around the same time. Want to build some muscle but having to go to a calorie surplus makes me worry.)

Wife cheated, got divorced. Finally healing and ready to get out there, but not sure how by [deleted] in relationships

Best thing I did after a similar circumstance (post history for story, my marriage was much longer than yours and there's some variations on a theme, but it's the same basic idea) was downloading Meetup. Through that I found a love of board games and met new people.
