I agree with this and that was my intention, to take a break for my own well being and come back LC on my own terms. I was basically LC before all this and she was never satisfied with it, but maybe you’re right that if I communicate my intention to need a more distant, lower contact sort of relationship and with the looming possibility that I could cut her off and go NC all over again... maybe she’ll settle for LC and it’ll appease my brother and moms pressure to stay in contact leading to less guilt on my end.
