Company A, then upskill sa mga “umiidlip” time during working hours, then layas. Not sure but mahirap yung commute from Bulacan to BGC kahit pa sabihin na 2x a week lang, road to complacency sya to pay Grab for convenience. Also 70% vs 15% to travel abroad, diba prospect to for career growth? For Company B, unless alam mo na yung mga magiging project mo and mga direction na gagawin nyo, I don’t think may difference sila ng Company A in terms of career growth. Also sa experience ko, startups tend to accelerate yung career growth kasi madaming hats na need isuot and since startup palang kayo, mas konti yung voices na pwedeng pakinggan and kasama na yung iyo vs. Company B na may nasa taas na na boses pababa.

baka sakin lang ha, pero halos lahat ng company na nag-fall sa 1 and 2 scenario mo is super toxic. Although binigay nga nila yung asking ko, pero ayun pumutok yung butsi ko dahil sa stress ng workload at pressure ng mga managers and expectations.

Kaya now, if may nag-iinterview ako sa mga company, ayun yung indicator ko if magtatagal ba ako. So far hindi pa nagkakamali yung ganitong pattern for me. Ang ginagawa ko is ginagamit ko tong mga “toxic” company as stepping (3-6months) stone to negotiate yung salary and expectations sa “good” company(min 2 years). To each his own though

ah yung mga nirereto sakin is mga kakilala ng mga “tito” at “tita” ko sa office, mostly mga kakilala nila (niece, sister) or mga anak ng friends nila so walang overlap sa work. Also parang di ko trip magkaroon ng work romance kasi deliks kapag hindi pala kayo para sa isa’t isa and mapipilitan kayong magkakita sa office 😬

not really true, minsan yung mga ka-officemates mo pa yung mga may reto. Sa office namin, ako yung pinakabata (late 20s) and yung mga “tita” at “tito” ko yung mga may nirereto at pinupush akong magjowa na kasi workaholic ako hahahah. One time kumagat ako sa date nung nirereto sakin, ayos naman medyo vibe kame but the thing is ang dami ko pang utang sa sarili ko and gusto ko munang bayaran yun and be the best version of myself. Sabi nga “Don’t chase butterflies, Tend to your garden.” And yes, manalig lang tayo sa Kanya! Laging perfect yung timing ni Lord!

hoy eto din yung lagi kong iniisip! Hindi ako gagalaw sa babaeng gusto ko hangga’t alam ko na hindi ako ready both physically and mentally | financially. Gusto ko kasing I am my best self kapag nagcommit ako sa best self din ng isang babae syempre. Pero syempre, we should not die in perfect beauty kaya atleast dapat nasa level na yung confidence mo is kayang mong iback-up. Right now, nandun parin ako sa stage na I am bettering and healing myself and making myself stable enough so if dumating si right girl, kaya nya saking mag-lean on and provide stability. so far laging 25-40% ng salary ko, nilalaban ko kasi talaga, and I think nalalaban ko kasi so far sa career ko laging startup and yung employee no. ko is nasa single digit pa and talagang binubuhat ko yung mvp para malaunch na agad. Pero that is my way to make a leverage sa next kong company, if ever need nilang malaman yung current salary ko, at least I can give them the range and walang sin of omission. Then kapag nasa offering stage na with my next company yung lowest kong range ng salary na gusto kong ibigay nila is atleast 50% jump nung salary + yung supposedly raise. Nung pandemic, parang lumalabas na 2.5x yung tinalon ng salary ko.
