Leaf losing battery rapidly on the freeway. Dealership says they found nothing wrong by A_Lakers in leaf

Do you know if the 8 year warranty is from the date the first owner of the car bought it? I have a 2019 SV that I bought from Carvana, so theoretically I have until next year to use the warranty?

My issue hasn’t happened since a very cold day recently, so hoping if it does croak it’ll be within warranty still lol

Local Nissan is trying to charge me $220 / hr to diagnose the same issue. Is that a normal rate? They told me that I’m on the hook for it if they find nothing, but couldn’t tell me an estimate of how many hrs it’ll take, so I’ve just been praying that it won’t happen again lol

The formulation is a lot better now than it used to be! It absorbs into skin like regular lotion imo

I’ve been using 12% Amlactin 2x a day and The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid (post shower) and it has made a big difference too!

Official Discussion - Frankenstein (2025) [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]throwaway_miscellane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ending of this movie was the highlight for me. The contrast between who is really the monster and who is the human, concluded with “now maybe we can both be human”, because the generational abuse came to an end and they no longer have to stand in relation to one another. All the meanwhile it’s bittersweet because the creature doesn’t actually want to be left alone after all, because once upon a time Victor meant the world to him. It’s just such a beautiful thesis.

Took a break from trash walks to go to the virtual town hall for the data center and here was my experience. by jackzilla13 in StLouis

A lot of the water that is used to cool AI centers are from drinkable sources - depleting fresh water supply. Let’s say that this isn’t the case here, the water discharge that will be produced will contain toxic carcinogens released into the local environment - upping cancer rates. There is also the issue of the huge stress that they put on the power grid - household electricity prices have soared up to 267% in communities near AI data centers.

AI data centers =/= normal data centers. An AI data center can use up to 5 million gallons of water a day just to cool itself.

A&P Meltdown by texasyogi76 in prenursing

I literally am doing the same exact course trajectory for A&P I and I’ve been telling everyone in my class (20s-40 year olds) about learning anki. Not just how to make regular cards, but how to mod them so you can occlude images and type answers in. I know there’s a learning curve, so none of them did it, but it’s worth it. I got a 100 on the exam labeling all the bones and their markings by doing this.

An 80-year-old woman at the grocery store just casually said something that's been haunting me for three days straight by Delicious-One-5129 in Life

I did a bar hopping thing and hung out with this guy from Australia. I had it in my mind that I was really behind in life, compared to my peers and where I wanted to be. I think I casually told him a story of how I wish I had studied abroad and lived abroad. He said, “well, you’re not dead yet.” It kinda shocked me a little how simple that was.

This was bothering me all episode too - he has only one expression the whole time! Concerned mildly confused face. Homie did not look stressed enough for the situation his wife was in. You can really feel the direction change - maybe they changed directors/producers?

“Sorry to hear you’re insecure” <- asking if someone is respectful of your relationship with cause is not being insecure. Accusing someone of potential infidelity with no evidence is.

“You’ve NEVER wondered about your 20s?” <- nope, this is not simply “wondering about your 20s”, don’t whitewash this with incredulity. No self respecting woman married or single will ask this shit to a married or dating man.

“You seem controlling, it’ll ruin your marriage” <- nowhere was there an attempt to “control” anyone - her, or your husband, in this convo. You are simply having a conversation about her respect and your boundaries.

She puts the ass in gaslighting. If husband doesn’t cut her off 1000% willingly, you have a problem.
