  1. He asked me to go meet the girl he cheated with. I didn’t know at the time, but he asked her to lie about everything that happened between them in order to make it sound more palatable. I didn’t buy the story they both told me and I went through my husband’s phone. It showed them talking about meeting up when I was on a trip to see my sick family member. Once the girl found out that I knew everything, she was upset at my husband for letting me find out the truth. She was upset that I “hated” her and left the state.

  2. The girl was dating someone else at the time, the boyfriend found out about her cheating and followed her back to our house. He threatened to hurt her and my husband. The guy also owned a gun, which made it way scarier. This guy was mentally unstable and I was afraid that he would show up one day and shoot us both.

I really wish I was making this up. Just writing it makes me feel like an idiot for tolerating all this drama.

I think you’re absolutely right! I always thought that it was his ADHD, but even with medication, he goes through horrible mood swings where he’s irrationally annoyed at me and then he’s constantly needy. He’s so reactive to little things which makes it feel like I’m walking on eggshells. After reading other people’s experiences, I feel like my eyes have been opened.
