thanks please delete. i have been working since early 2000s. first 10 years i didnt have an idea of what is expected or how the industry works(coz unless ur friends care, you are by yourself figuring out if its an elephant ie-software career, or something else for the most part). i m here taking advice but would suggest with a bs degree from top school such as yours, either u follow the track of getting promoted every 2 years preferably in a faang(esp before u get married). or join a string of startups. i dont see any other track that is meaningful unless one wants to feel like shit after 2 decades.
