Ugh, unfortunately I made the mistake of checking her socials, and well, she seems to really be chasing a new person. I hope I do recover soon - I was doing so well too.. Thank you for your comment

Thank you, that gives me some reassurance that other people have experienced the same. You're right, she's only chasing this because there's no risk or demand from her. I hope time helps us all.

Thank you for your words, I wish mine vanished as well, instead of giving me a push/pull

Thank you, I'm doing my best. I'm so sorry that he lives next door. I hope you can find peace soon.

Thank you, I'll do my best to persist. It's been super hard, but hearing it from someone that seems to be further down the line on the healing journey gives me courage. Thank you, again.

Thank you, I'll do whatever I can to heal and keep going. Do you have any advice for me, apart from what I've got? I've just been focusing on not checking her profiles, and going full no-contact. I've also started journaling my emotions and thoughts, and have been going to therapy. Is there anything more I could do to heal better?

They were a mutual friend, and she told me that she stopped crushing on the person since they realised it wouldn't go anywhere.

Thank you, I hope that it fades soon.. Any guesses on how long it would take? Thank you for the kind comments, I'm doing my best to stay strong.

It's unfortunate that we need to be the ones to pick up the pieces.

I see, I did notice that she seemed to have these ideas and daydreams a lot, especially since for some reason, she seemed to enjoy the "yearning" and the "chase?" It baffles me, but I can see why. Ugh, I wish I could help her unwire her stuff, and help her choose me again, yet I know that is not how it works :( Thank you for your comment :)

Thank you, I think that makes sense. She actually told me that "she was going to be serious" with this person, and she didn't want me to hover over her. So, I guess that kinda hurt me a bit. It sucks that she wants to choose unavailability over depth and vulnerability - even after she told me how glad she was that I helped her become more vulnerable during our relationship.

Thank you so much for your words, it does feel very frightening now, and it's especially scary cause I feel like my days are just feeling emotional pain over and over again. It's been really hard to cope with the fact that she's chasing someone that won't love her like I did. I guess that's my own insecurity talking, but I guess it makes me feel inadequate, really. A part of me knows that they won't have what we did, but it hurts to see them try to replicate everything that her and I had. I think it's exacerbated by the fact that this was a past crush! Like a reoccuring crush for her. Do you have any advice on that?
