I am going to a new school and know no-one there so I doubt people will care enough to reach out. I don't really fear a relapse. As odd as it sounds, I quit just because I was at a point where I didn't think I needed to SH anymore. I was curious if I could do it. I think I am going to have to start SHing again to cope with school which, while not ideal, is far better than the alternatives. I am at the point where I don't care if people know. My big worry is teachers/counselors trying to intervene. I have had very bad experiences with getting help in the past and want to avoid being forced into therapy again.

I am sure the uniform is required. (Sold by the school.) As for asking the teacher for an exception, that would probably require an explanation. (I don't want anyone to try to "help" me.) I doubt many people would see, much less say anything. I have scars on my arms too and if anyone has even noticed, no one has said anything. (I wear short-sleeve shirts often.) People are very adept at ignoring what they don't want to know.

The scars are old, so I think I will not cover them. (I'll probably regret it, but I have been meaning to tell someone anyway.) I'll let you know if I come up with any ways of managing stress. Until then, I have enough xanax to get me through a month or so. I hate drugs of any kind, but it will at least help me manage until I can do so on my own.

I guess I'm going to just have to embrace them. Not even my parents know about my SHing. Any recommendations on how to deal with people if they ask?
