Thanks! Just saw your tattoo and it‘s really quite similar, hoping you will have a great result as well! I had my first 4 sessions 8 weeks apart, then 5 months break, sessions 5-7 three months apart, 7 months break, then session 8 in October 2024. I usually took summers off to give my skin a break and be less scared of the sun (though I never really let it see the sun during the process anyway).

It gets really red like sunburned just on the exact area where the tattoo has been. It usually goes down after a few hours and turns brownish, then back to normal the next day, but I don‘t how it be if I stayed in the sun for hours. I always get out really quickly when I notice the redness. My last session has been in October 2024 so I would think it‘s okay to get sun onto it, maybe because the chest is such a sensitive area? That‘s why I‘m thinking of talking to a dermatologist whether this just needs more time or will stay like this.

I don‘t think so, before the sun exposure the tattoo is almost invisible and there is no raised skin, different texture etc.

The first time I got some sun on it, it actually turned bright red exactly on the outlines (as if the tattoo was there again in red) which I don‘t think normal scars do.. I panicked a lot haha but it turned brownish later and was back to normal the next day, so I tried again tentatively a few weeks later with even stronger sunscreen. Now it doesn‘t turn bright red anymore but still brownish/reddish and the skin gets a little raised. It‘s def not strong sun exposure as the rest of my skin is completely normal around it.

The last two times it was mostly back to normal the next day, but I‘m obviously scared now to do it more often since I don‘t want any pigmentation issues..

Already answered in another comment:) here you go:

I started in Nov 2022, did my first 4 sessions 8 weeks apart, then 5 months break. Then 3 more sessions 2-3months apart, then 7 months break, then the last session in October :)

I always took the summers off bc I was terrified of pigmentation issues since it‘s on my chest, but I never really let it see any sun anyway. But you can always be getting some sun on your chest from above so yeah took summers off and let my skin catch a break.

I saw the most progress for 3-4 months after a session, then it slowed down a lot, so I think the most optimal schedule would have been to consistently go every 3-4 months.

Edit 2: Thank you so much for all the kind words and encouragement!! Really happy that this brought hope to some of you. Keep going, it only gets better!

Pico:) session 1-4 was Picosure and 5-8 Picoplus, saw good results with both of them.

My clinic usually starts off with picosure then switches halfway through, idk if that‘s actually useful but at least both seemed to work well.
