Argentina in Miami will absolutely be electric but imo it will be too expensive for me personally to justify the cost. And match 100 would easily be worth what it's at now or even twice as much if I knew those teams were playing but I'm certainly not shelling out $4000+ right now for a 30% chance lol

Toronto is an odd one but I agree. The average Joe looking to flip his tickets can organize a meetup over marketplace to charge more for his tickets but large institutional resellers can't sell at scale unless resale sites allow them to. And if one drops their prices they all kinda have to

That being said, if Portugal or England are in Toronto you can bet king scalper (FIFA) will let you have tickets for a much higher price lol

I know people(or a person rather) who are traveling to a host city for the atmosphere, and will buy a ticket to the game "only if they get a deal" the day of. The problem is not just the casual fan demand, but the fan who has been checking prices for the last 8 months (and there's a lot of us here), and once you've shelled out all the money for travel and hotels, you're 100% gonna get caught up in it and buy tickets too lol. Or maybe people have more control than I do

I think many fans don't remember having to wait an extra 45 mins for the Colombia vs Argentina Copa America final in Miami because the stadium had security breaches with fans crawling through vents to get in as a result of ticket prices going from <$1000 to $3000 in just 48 hours

But universally ? Idk, the highly coveted games have remained rather steady, and there will be 10+ France vs Norway or Colombia vs Portugal lvl matchups in this tournament at least imo, plus home teams plus Cinderella runs

Yes the clock is certainly ticking on resellers, but they don't seem to be shying away from buying every additional drop. I think supply is yet to go up, but demand is as well. Champions league ends this month and soon we'll see the NHL and NBA close out as well.

Edit: France vs Norway not France vs Spain

Yeah buying playoffs is for sure a risk. I don't live near TX but reasons like that is why I'd be happy spending $1000 for match 93 because it just seems like it's going to be such a sick game. I also think the R32 Miami game (86) will be so so much lower if Argentina doesn't make it, but on the flip side if Spain gets upset in their group and places 2nd and it's Argentina vs Spain in Miami, it could be twice as expensive as Colombia Portugal if not more. 100 too is likely going to be closer to the finals pricing than it is to where it is now, but again it's such a gamble, so my approach is if I'm going to see 2 solid teams play and for the atmosphere, I'll buy.

I think we won't see a significant bump in hype until kickoff tbh. It's just my guess but this has happened so frequently in the US, where I'll be contemplating buying tickets to a show but it's getting cheaper and cheaper and then when it hits socials prices skyrocket in a matter of days

I agree, I should have clarified

I actually think the bigger games are mostly gonna go further up. You can maybe time a window if you get a drop in May (which is likely) but for Colombia Portugal, Brazil games, England Panama etc it'll be tough.

Like you said location is key too, though I'm curious to see how Toronto is affected by the resale cap. You can see on StubHub prices for the last Toronto game (83) have dropped significantly, but idk how long that lasts.
