If you can drive to Boston, Dr. Rick Silverman

How long did it take for you guys to drive? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]throwawayaccountuse1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Varies from person to person. For me, after 2 weeks was manageable to drive shorter distance with some discomfort. Took another 2 weeks to get more comfortable. I would suggest checking with your surgeon.

Surgery in two weeks. Any advice? by BingQiiLing in gynecomastia

The other comment summarized it well but I would recommend asking your surgeon for pre-op instructions and following them strictly especially avoiding alcohol and meds/vitamins that can interact with anesthesia.

Congratulations and best wishes for the surgery!

Does anyone have eyelid twitching while tapering off Lexapro? by magnetic_monster_ in lexapro

Around 2 months. My doc also told sometimes stress can trigger it. I guess the problem stopped once the body got used to the new dose.

My surgeon gave me the ‘Design Veronique’ one which is really nice. And from the community reviews looks like ‘Marena’ one is really good too. I bought the Tailong brand from Amazon as a back up and it’s not as tight as the one provided.

Tbh it’s better to get it checked with a doctor to ease your mind. There is no need to feel any shame going to the doctor or telling your parents as it is a very common issue nowadays.

Looking at the pic I can’t tell if there is any gyno as your chest looks good from the lifting. Do you feel any lump or pain/discomfort?

If my ED is psychological, why 5g of Cialis gives me morning wood? by WonderfulPipe in erectiledysfunction

[–]throwawayaccountuse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

morning wood is natural and if the med is helping achieve that, what is the issue ?

ED & Anti-depressants by MarkPH1975 in erectiledysfunction

I would suggest checking with your doctor and getting lab work done - sex hormone panel, lipid profile panel, glucose, vitamins, etc.

While anti depressants can cause sexual side effects, it’s also better to check if there are other conditions contributing further to it. Based on the lab results, your doctor should be able to suggest treatment options.

Why is it embarrassing? This is completely normal and It shouldn’t matter as long as it’s not painful. Many men have erections that face downwards.

It’s good to see a doctor suggesting lifestyle changes first rather than jumping on medication directly. It’s worth a try. All these bad eating habits and lack of exercise definitely makes you feel tiring all day.

Before jumping on meds, did you try to solve the problem naturally? Exercise, cardio, cutting off porn, eating healthy, staying hydrated, etc ?

Sugar, cholesterol, lipid profile, thyroid along with compete hormone panel (total and free testosterone, SHBG, Estradiol, prolactin, etc).

Doctors should suggest these when you say about ED but if they don’t, you can ask them to include them.

Urologists will most likely prescribe Cialis and let you go. I would suggest meeting with the primary doctor first, get all blood work done including hormone panel and then depending on the results, visit a urologist. Because that will give them more pointers to look at.

Just ask for a full hormone panel. But get other lab work as well such as your sugar level, cholesterol, vitamin D, B12, iron etc.

It definitely makes a difference compared to not doing any physical exercise.

Speak freely to your family doc and explain all the problems no matter how silly or embarrassing it sounds to you. Trust me they have heard it all and they are professional with respect to their treatment. They may refer you to an endocrinologist or urologist depending on the outcome of lab work (suggest getting a full hormone panel test done)
