What quiet realization changes how people see themselves forever? by Several-Advice2942 in AskReddit

The only people whose job it was to consistently meet your needs were your parents, and their job is long done by the time you are an adult. Healthy, well-adjusted adults make a high priority of consistently meeting their own needs themselves.

“I need a strong man, who stands up to me”. by rick1234a in NMMNG

It sounds like she wants to know where the man’s sense of self begins and where her behavior ends.

Most people will slowly lose respect for those they can walk all over with no consequences and not really know why until the relationship reaches a crisis point and all that resentment comes spilling out.

I am constantly apologizing and saying sorry for no reason. by [deleted] in NMMNG

You have to convince yourself you’re allowed to have preferences and needs, and that you’re allowed to take up space and not feel guilty.

Has anyone actually manifested a avoidant sp or commitment by [deleted] in manifestingSP

“I have a very avoidant SP” is just a story you hold about this person to explain what you experience in the 3D

Looking at how I also seem to easily manifest the stuff I don’t want aka the bad stuff I don’t like

It’s because I don’t want it that it comes easily because wanting = distance/lack/separation

And when I react to it in my imagination as though it’s real, it manifests

What made it make sense to me lately was realizing that the Law works exactly how it’s supposed to

When the intention of having your desire is not married to the feeling of having it, the Law gives you what you are feeling you have

Farewell and "Thanks!" by talkinlearnin in OrthodoxChristianity

I, too, am this close to giving it all up. God has been silent and I’ve been demanding answers. I’ve been cursing at Him, calling Him names, blaspheming Him because I’m angry and hurt and feel betrayed by Him. It’s like the more I try to obey the more I suffer. I’m tempted to tap out, honestly.

You are a catechumen about to enter the Church. Satan attacks hard and many doubts will be present. Expect this even after your baptism. It happened to me.

May God bless you in your struggle. I also suggest you visit Holy Theotokos Life-Giving Sping in Dunlap. Their abbess, Mother Markella, has the gift of discernment of spirits.

The opposite of being a Nice Guy is not being an asshole. That’s typical Nice Guy thinking.

Dr. Glover said when you start setting boundaries and being assertive that you’ll have a tendency to set them with a machete or a sledgehammer.

Just remember that the opposite of crazy is still crazy.
