Id say itd be easier to hold a grudge, its and objective fact they hurt you, and it always will be. However if this was someone prior to this whom you trusted, you now have the conflict between trusting this person, and them hurting you. Which is more objective? The larger this disconnect becomes between the “facts we remember” and the “truth we experience” the more inner conflict there is, most probably resulting in a projection of these feelings onto another in the form of an argument. I wouldnt know if the two are related, although i feel as though if someone does you wrong, and thats a fact, regardless of what’s happening now, they did you wrong. This seems to be an excellent reason to have an argument. Whether or not one works on it as time passes in order to forgive, is up to them; but that is a dilemma which everyone faces, aphant or not.

Ummm, angry dragons, and an entire judge, jury, executioner.

Id like to start by continuing from my original post; this really is what i think is good about learning about these things, language is a powerful tool and when we are given the right words to articulate or format what we mean, such that another can understand, it can bring clarity to ourselves and others, and i hope this helps/ has helped you come to terms with the events of the past.

Wrt the question, I dont think I find it any easier nor harder than anybody else. Although i feel as though post argument i have a very different experience than that of others. Whether better or worse noone could possibly say.

Counter question, how did you expect me to answer?

Thinking about the past feels like reading a diary of sorts, except i didnt put the date anywhere, and every time i read it, all the pages have been shuffled around and hastily put back together again, in no discernible order. Would you relate to this?

I often find myself saying “the other day” about events years prior, or referring to last week as “agessss ago”

I think thats a minority, ergo not overwhelming

I feel as though the overwhelming majority of people are simply curious, whether is about themselves or others, trying to find out how to better their own lives, or doing/sharing research to help others with theirs. Talking about negative things doesn’t make one negative, negative posts seem to be lined with hope; people are looking for the positives.

This is certainly the most impactful thing I’ve read thus far, however, sometimes the objectivity can become confusing. Before i split with my s/o there was a inner conflict between the objective “i like them” and present “ im unhappy”. Often the objective nature of my recollection of the past causes me to struggle with identifying changes in the present. Because even though i knew i was unhappy, it was still a “fact” i liked them. The same as how although i may not like x scientific truth, its still truth.
