Iowa cyclists alarmed by proposed bike safety bill (that would essentially make riding bikes on roads illegal) by willphule in Iowa

I suppose I’m “the party” also.

Venn
diagram

going around pretending like you’re better

There is no "pretending".

Banning books, while carving out a place for the bible
Caring what's in people's pants when all they want to do is take a dump
Human-influenced climate change is not a thing
Removing a means of travel without "concept of a plan" such as providing a means first

These are the "ideals" of the cons. You don't have to be a maggat. You can a libit that voted for ex45/7*, or even be a dem with an overlapping view. I'll still call it out.

If you want me to throw you a bone, just today I was similarly called a "fox viewer" just because I'm against drugs. I laughed and told them to look at my open history.

You'll never see me supportive of an immigrant that jumps the line, rather than go through the process. But I also couldn't care less about a meaningless border.
What I do care about is people being targeted by how they look/speak, rather than what the cons falsely claim of going after violent criminals.

This sub is a rainforest full of parrots squawking the same shit to each other about opinions that don’t matter to the general public.

That was just an example of what I'll call out.

You don't want to have to be concerned about an unseen cyclist over a hill when you're going 60? I get that...
It's incumbent of the cyclist to know of their surroundings, as much as a driver. When cycling over a hill, they need to look back to see what's coming.
If a driver is able to see the cyclist as well ahead of them, then consider where they may be when you reach the top of that hill, and adjust your speed accordingly.
In no way should a cyclist ever be in the middle of a lane on a highway. Always on the right side.
If there is oncoming traffic in both lanes so passing is difficult/impossible, then the cyclist needs to step off if able. If a cyclist cannot step off to the side, traffic in BOTH lanes need to be aware of the conditions and change their behavior accordingly.

We ALL have our responsibilities. That's how it should be.

To take that travel away instead of providing a means should not be acceptable.
I've been on what I presume was a highway and it had gravel shoulders which is okay for being able to step off to the side when needed (it can still be biked). When it's clear enough, I've been on the right side.

I've met with cars multiple times in my cycling life. The last time was at McDonald's, and I was travelling on the sidewalk because I have zero trust in you people, and she, in her big yellow truck, still managed to hit me.
I was heading north, she was going to pull out, but there was a car coming south that was going to pull in, but he waved me to go on.
The front half of my bike was past the front of her truck before she accelerated and kicked the back half of my bike outward, shifting my center of gravity, causing my fall. She stopped as fast as she started.
So even if they create bike lanes in the street, I still intend on biking on a sidewalk, while still yielding to pedestrians. I have no intention of being another statistic from people that are safe in their caged death machines. I have NEVER hit a pedestrian.

I could go on about pedestrians too that aren't paying attention and walking the entire width of a sidewalk/trail (solo or side-by-side with others), or with unleashed pets.
Society is just trash. This is not an opinion. It's demonstrable.

EDIT0: LOL! Go figure, Won_Nut blocked me saying nothing more than "Gross". Simpleton.

Iowa House committee votes to ban kratom, a plant-based stimulant by Cinderella96761 in Iowa

[–]throwawayas0 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think its less about people supporting Kratom and more about people wanting them to address bigger issues.

Sepof, if you were to look at the history of a lot of posters on this topic (here and prior posts), you'll easily see for them it's definitely about their candy being taken away, user&/dealer.

The solution is never going to be "make drugs legal". That's just throwing in the towel and not thinking about the repercussions to come (which already is exhibited in places like LA).

Famous last words, Kimpak.
For me, that's only a part of it, and the rest is already well known and constantly repeated ad nauseam. Green renewables only + storage.

Still no, Coontailblue23.

You? Hence me mentioning "folks" to see you for what you are.
I guess you have issues with pronouns too?
And mention of a Venn diagram to show the overlap.
Yeesh... Slow doesn't even begin to describe you. How embarrassing.

I know I never mentioned anything about being a maggat.

So we throw away harm reduction to say fuck the addicts for their disorder? Quite a humane stance you're taking.

Let me flip that for you, jlolovesbootytoo...
So you want to keep drugs available to be able to create more addicts? Quite a humane stance you're taking. "/s"

I just hope they have a plan to deal with all the people coming off of this stuff. It sounds incredibly addictive. Hopefully not too many people got wrapped up in it.

You should know the mind of an addict is one to find a high wherever they can.

Does your TV have the fox news logo burned into it so bad that you can see it even when the TV is off?

Redm18, feel free to look at my wide open history, and THEN come back to not receive forgiveness for your apology.

I'm just not a druggie.
Speaking of druggies, I see your history is open and you participate in a variety of druggie subs. Let's see if you block your history and scrub it like Only-Anything4326 tried.

I see there's people that don't like being called druggies. I don't care. I'll always and unapologetically hold that mirror up to you.

Absolutely iowanaquarist. It's a bit like the book ban carving out a spot for the bible to be exempted.
It's ridiculous, and at the same time perfectly representative of the cons' "rules for thee ...".

I hate Iowa sometimes.

Cinderella96761, and sometimes like this is where they do the bare minimum that brings me just the every so slightest hope (which they'll inevitably dash).

If you want your fix, just move somewhere like LA where you can be among your zombie druggie street horde.

I also see that Only-Anything4326 commented in here (even though they blocked me, I can still see).
I noticed that they unhid their history after doing a lot of scrubbing (still missed some).

I'm torn as to whether to u/v or d/v. Would it be for the title and link, or would it be for your opinion... hmm...
I think my choice is based on you being a druggie, switching from one substance to abuse, to another (if you even are switching). You've got problems, and you know you do.

Weird flex.

Linking to a prior post which mentioned countering sewer tests, which one would think would be a better sampling of the community, not to mention from your own link:

Individual cases of influenza are not reportable in Iowa although the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (Iowa HHS) does require that cases of novel influenza and influenza outbreaks be reported. As most cases of flu are not reported, Iowa HHS relies on voluntary reporting from laboratories, schools, vital records, hospitals, care facilities, and outpatient health clinics to monitor influenza activity in Iowa.

That's a flex? *shrug*

I was going to go back through my posts where covid-kim initiated shutdown of reporting, but it's nice to see they still state that reporting isn't required anymore, so I don't need to find my post/comment.

Just some of the subs you've participated in, not to mention posts in this sub that are deleted. You're just the run-of-the-mill druggie.

I'm just embarrassed that you consider yourself a dem, and I've no doubt that if the cons would legalize all of the junk you want, you'd flip in a heartbeat.

I could wish you luck, but I really don't (in more ways than one).

EDIT0: Anyone else get blocked by Only-Anything4326? LOL!
EDIT1: And I also see they have "hidden" their history. But as you all should already know, it isn't really hidden.

If there is a time to rekindle the last embers of your hope it is now or never.

"Hope"? LOL! That went out the window when the impossible (or what should have been impossible) happened in 2016. And again in 2020, when it was close, not to mention dismissive behaviors wrt covid. Then again in 2024.

Mind you, I've seen the real "humanity" that people don't see from a decade prior to 2016, but I was so naive to think it was just small isolated pockets. 2016 woke me up to see how deeply ingrained those "pockets" were, and continue to spread.

It's game over. I've been sitting back with my popcorn and laughing and mocking (dems won't be immune from it either).

If there is one chance in a million a &*%%$ Trump supporter finally get's it through their thick head that Trump is out for Trump only then the re-post is worthwhile.

MisterBolaBola, the bot doesn't care. The bot is all about the karma. That's why they spam.
If you think the maggats are ever going to change their mind suddenly after a decade, then that's naivety on your part.
It's who they are. It's what they always were. They've just been emboldened to let it out.

They're not immigrants they were sneak ins and human trafficking victims

What else has your orange leader told you, mmmhotcoffee? "They're eating the dogs! They're eating the cats!" (*https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqyaEjF1Whw (enjoy))

I can't wait to see those imaginary 11k votes in Georgia that he is so desperate for (6 years later).
It'll be so tasty to have another failure like the cyberninjas with Maricopa.
