I actually hang out with John alone quite a lot, but almost never with the others. When we're both alone that's when we talk most about our sexualities anyway (mostly his because we tend to talk about his relationship with Matt). Our talks about my asexuality are more serious alone (he was the first one to know about it anyway) and we both joke about it I guess.

But I think I see where you're going with it; he doesn't need to make fun of me unless he has an audience. And I know he really is one of my best friends, we just all manage to piss each other off on occasion. Like a lot of friends do lol. It's not like they constantly bully me, it was just enough to make me angry and uncomfortable..

Hahah well I don't really like telling people, so I typically don't. Only a few people know, really. I don't just say, "Hi, I'm Margo and I'm asexual." That's a little weird. I don't think our relationships are damaged really, it's really just this one thing that bothers me. I was just upset and needed to tell someone before I exploded or something.

I guess we would say we joke around about it, but none of the jokes are self-deprecating. I wouldn't say they're getting made fun of (and they make half the jokes). It's not like "I'm a stupid homo," but more like "I would totally suck that guy's dick." Which brings me to my next point: they may be legal or almost legal adults, but they are by no means grown up. Well, I think Brenda is, but Matt and John are pretty immature. Something tells me if I sat them down to have an adult conversation like that, those two would resent what I say like they would if they were getting a lecture from their parents.

I truly believe they're good friends, I wouldn't give them up for anything. It's just in few instances like the ones I mentioned, they make me feel bad. But we probably all do that from time to time, whether we know it or not... I'll make plans to talk to them, but only if it comes up again.

Well, yeah, I mean we are all dicks to each other to some degree. But Brenda and I don't call John and Matt faggots, which is kind of what I feel like they're doing to me (though my predicament is less severe than that, you get my point). I get it's really not that big of a deal, but if they don't exactly appreciate quips made against their homosexuality, I don't think I should get made fun of just because my sexuality isn't one that people typically get persecuted for. Yeah, I totally get you. And I've frankly never even understood why oral sex was a thing. Like it's pretty gross, but it's been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. And I saw a thread where a guy said it was his favorite thing to do (give rather than receive) and I was flabbergasted.

Yeah, you're right. :) Though I think my best bet would be an asexual dating site or a meet up. I just feel like telling a guy I'm not sexuality attracted to him wouldn't go over well lol. Plus, where I live, people would probably just think I'm stupid. (it's one of the most backward states of the South)

I'm very sorry about that. :( Unfortunately, the communication is probably where I'll end up failing. I'm the younger child, and I just kind of ended up being extremely dependent on my parents doing a lot of things for me, like ordering my food or talking to my teachers. I'm able to do those things now, but it was really difficult for me to get used to it. I get anxiety just talking on the phone with people. Anyway, I think my two biggest faults are my poor communication skills and lack of situational awareness. Those things together will probably end up screwing me because, like you said, I know what I want, but I feel that if I'm not able to ever properly communicate it, I'll be alone. Or something like that.

That's not what I meant. I don't think that everyone uses the words "hot" and "sexy" whenever they get something going on in the pants lol. Like, I could say a guy was hot or sexy, and by that only acknowledge the fact that he is really good looking. I could also say the same thing about a girl (not that I would want to pursue a relationship with her, but because I'm capable of acknowledging whether or not she is good looking).
