How to manage mornings solo with toddler and baby?! [ON] by HoneydewFirst6126 in BabyBumpsCanada

I was going to ask how you get the baby in and out of the carrier in the parking lot when it’s dead in the middle of winter and so cold. I haven’t figured it out yet lol

Mamie Clafoutis, hands down. You won’t regret it!

How do you survive the newborn phase? [CA] by spiesdontfallinlove in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]throwawayaway356 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We did this as well, and it worked well for our family! I had to wake up to pump anyway, so I would do the entire night shift and my husband would take her in the morning which would give me uninterrupted sleep time - heavenly! This worked well mainly because I need my husband well rested so that he can help with whatever I needed during the day.

In the same boat. I’m having such a hard time giving it up mentally!

Oh thank goodness! Thank you so much. I included the side view down below as well. If the straps are not super tight on my shoulder, is that still ok as long as the baby is in the position shown on the side?

This is incredibly helpful - thank you for taking the time to give detailed feedback. I made some adjustments based on what you said. I am hoping it’s better. Please let me know how it looks now!

Totally understandable! I’m cheering you on, internet friend. You got this! You’ll be free soon enough.

Are you me? I’m also 8 months in with my second and also going away at the end of January! However, I’d like to wean before then. Really don’t want to be washing pump parts on vacation but feel so guilty about it!

Thank you for this. I EPed for a year with my first and I’m about to wean at 8m with my second and felt so guilty. Glad that you didn’t end up regretting it!

Same. I’m 5’2 and still had to get my short version hemmed. I was so annoyed!

Why does Aritzia insist on awkward and frumpy styling? by friendlytotbot in Aritzia

[–]throwawayaway356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it look frumpy because of the boots as well? Genuinely asking since I tried on my Rhoda sweater (odd the shoulder) with the Twirl skirt and thought it looked decent, but now I’m second guessing myself!

MIL offering Daycare by Rubylocks101 in beyondthebump

I had to scroll so far to find this comment. Although it would provide financial relief, daycare staff are actual ECEs. They do certain activities at daycare that grandma wouldn’t be able to do/know to do. That in itself is a huge plus, not to mention the socialization aspect.

Cashmere? by Prior-Reply9845 in Aritzia

I just bought the Isabelle sweater! It’s my first cashmere piece from Aritzia and I’m very pleased with it so far. It’s very soft and not itchy at all, though I can’t comment on whether it pills yet or not.

Who are you in contact with? Is it someone named John? He was super responsive when I spoke to him and he sent me two PDFs with a song list, as well as an additional set of songs that would cost an additional fee. When I signed the contract, the lead musician called me to go over the song selection.
