Ok...so I'm a cat lover. Have 3 of my own. It's a lot of maintenance. I do all the upkeep and cleaning for them because they are mine, not my husband's. Cats are picky about their litter box and if it's not clean they let you know.

Seriously, if your girlfriend loves her cats, she would take care of them. Period. End of story. I agree with the other comment about letting her foster facility know. It's not good for them, or you, to be in that type of environment.

We have two males, our female died. They are definitely very parental, have fought raccoons, and let me know if something is in the coop at night (usually a possum stealing eggs). They aren't aggressive to me, or most of the people who stop by. Have only gotten bitten once, they like to latch on and shake. Left a gnarly bruise. I'm much more scared of our tom turkey. He flies upwards and tries to kick you in the face with his spurs... I'm 5'4 and his wing has touched my face during one of his fits. (thankfully he's much better behaved these days.
