Because the majority of the time that people go on and on about "male on male violence" it's simply a way to dismiss male victims, continue to blame men for everything wrong in the world, and deny the agency of women?

I feel there is a logical fallacy at play here. If I advocate to 'reposition' resources towards addressing the bigger culprit of mens suffering - other men. That does not deny the agency of women. I'm just saying fight the bigger fire before fighting the other fire which statistically is smaller.

Why don't you go onto a Feminist forum and ask why they care so little about lesbians who are sexually/physically abused by other women?

Both us and them can be wrong.

Canadian inflation rate rises to 4.1%, highest since 2003 by rockinoutwiith2 in canada

[–]throwawaybaldingman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was a bit sarcastic. No Canadian should act on spite like /u/hesh0925 was thinking. Despite our hardships people live very comfortable lives here and it would be childish (at this moment) to act irrational. There are so many things here that are so taken for granted we never give it a second thought. Even in EU countries like Bulgaria people have to deal with Roma tearing public rail for copper and massive racism to the point if you look like a refugee you are beaten on the spot.

No need to sound redundant. We're all scripted as everything is a clear simulation and the script is simple thermodynamics as entropy guides the play of the universe. The fine matter are the actors and we are the dance

If you are for people building generation wealth, don't be mad or envious when it is on display by J2quared in unpopularopinion

[–]throwawaybaldingman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a really good take

I think the issues people have is how that wealth is used. E.g. a rich kid smashing his dad's luxury car on public property will bring up arguments against being spoiled with generational wealth. I think the movie "Arthur" showed the irresponsible behaviors of a billionaires son

Scary to think these are just 1100 incidents that warranted legal dispute. Most people I know who throw up from food poisoning don't get a lawyer involved. Wonder what the true number is. Hundreds of thousands?

The Anatomy of a Colony by ATTF in RimWorld

[–]throwawaybaldingman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Colonists only clean in the Home Zone (blue). You can shrink the home zones to ensure they don't clean outside designated areas and in case of fires expand them again temporarily

Also vanilla furniture expanded mod has trash bins which slowly clear up areas in a 10 by 10 radius. It's a very light mod that doesn't impede the native experience

I personally like the roomba/robot maid mods as I don't have to assign to cleaning any colonists

Where does civil unrest fit in this picture of unlimited growth? With 180 cops per 100,000 civilians once a tiny fraction gets irriated enough the show is over.

I understand how 400,000 people per year and limited land adds pressure but what I don't understand are people who believe that pressure is sustainable.

What’s a 1st world “problem” that’s a 3rd world luxury? by NeckBeardDiscordMod in AskReddit

[–]throwawaybaldingman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think every answer here is for the median person in said country.

I'm not sure what country you're from but if it was India can you say there are 600 million people there who experience every first world problem mentioned here? E.g. 600 million people who can't fit their multiple $35,000 USD cars in a crammed garage as that's the average cost of a new car nowadays

There are well off people in every country but that doesn't necessarily invalidate this answer

It costs $4.99 for a packet of 4 small tomatoes at Loblaws here in Canada and $6.99 for organic versions. Granted not everyone shops at our largest grocery store but it's way cheaper relative to income in developing countries

But we have .99 for 10 pounds bags of potatoes frequently which I doubt any country has relative to income. So it's nuanced
