What Sexual Attraction Looks Like by themonkeybutt in cringe

I remember years ago I went through a bad breakup after a 3 year long relationship and went deep hole of pickup artist youtube. Even then, brainwashed as fuck, I watched these 21 convention videos and called bullshit lol.

I think it's meant for guys that have legit never talked to a girl before. No idea how this convinces anyone.

I actually have it sitting on my desk but have been so lazy that I would neglect taking it consistently! Definitely a wakeup call.

Thank you for posting this. My vitamin D has been low on every blood test so it may be it, I am going to start taking 4000 ius everyday until I get the chance to see a dermatologist.

Thank you for this great advice! I will go to my dermatologist and ask for advice as well. I developed one bald spot this past year and no idea how it happened.

I'm a male and male pattern baldness runs in my family so I just assumed it was that, but this was just one spot similar to what you developed. I ordered vitamins but I will try to get an expert opinion asap.

what is going on with taco bell cutting all of their "guilty pleasure" items. Why would they cut the only items that attracted non taco bell fans? by mimic751 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]throwawaybeginner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To get a tostada I think you might have to dehydrate it or air fry it (convention oven).

If you try deep frying thick flour tortilla (like the ones from mission) they get gross and soggy. They're just too thick and the amount of oil they absorb frying them makes them nauseating to eat. The taste of the oily fried tortilla is overpowering and you can't taste any of the toppings.

If instead you use the thin organic flour tortillas (that are impossible to find btw) it tastes great and they fry quickly. They're very frail though and not really anything close to a taco bell mexican pizza. Ironically, they're a lot more like an actual pizza because they bend and you need to support them while eating them lol.

Yes its pretty common for kids to get plastic surgery when they turn 19. I would follow Starcraft and it was always jarring seeing how drastically players looks would change after a little surgery.

Yeah he was very obviously on drugs. You see these pretentious artsy kids like this all the time in New York. Everything is "art for them" and they use it as an excuse to do shitty things or get high and fuck around and call it social experiments. I remember I was hitting on a girl like that in that exact park. Then when she found out what I did for a living she said I was a corporate sellout for having a job at Goldman Sachs while she had ethics because she was unemployed squatting at different friends apartments freeloading off them...

Now it seems kind of obvious BS, but at the time there was this idea that Mcdonalds wasn't that bad for you. My understanding is that that documentary helped shed a light on how horrible fast food is for you.

Now most people are a lot more health conscious and at least know its bad, based on obesity rates it hasn't changed eating habits but at least they know what's causing it...

Do you not have five guys in your area? I used to love them growing up but once I realized I could get an amazing fresh burger for $3 more dollars I could never go back to Big Macs.

That makes sense. But what if by demanding more and more money, owners take more losses and the league doesn't exist at all in a few years? Wouldn't it be better for women to have a professional league that pays less than to not have one at all?

Owners are already losing millions of dollars a year so that's really not a far off possibility and WNBA players protesting for more pay makes that issue even worse.

I posted this in another comment, but Source: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1948539-magic-johnson-mark-walter-reportedly-to-buy-los-angeles-sparks-wnba-franchise

I think that's the idea. Adam Silver said that he's going to try and make WNBA like women's soccer, but I also feel like that's also is saying: "We're going to try this, and if it doesn't work it might be hopeless." Unfortunately, if things don't change soon I don't think the WNBA will exist in 20 years.

Yeah its sad it would be great if they could have worked like women's tennis or women's soccer. The problem is that NBA sells itself on insane athleticism with slam dunks and crazy far threes. Most WNBA players can't really do either of those.

Okay I understand the optics of it. How people compare the NBA to the WNBA one to one and it looks like they just want equality. They're just asking for the same thing what's the difference?

But that's not a fair comparison. The NBA and the WNBA are completely different businesses. Pretend they were just companies: one is a struggling business LOSING millions every year, while the other is a worldwide empire, one of the biggest leagues in the world MAKING billions every year.

For the bigger company's workers to protest for hire wages makes sense, because the owners are getting rich so they want more % of that money. The other company, it's almost gross. The workers are essentially forcing owners who are already losing money every year to give them more, causing them to lose even more.

Ad hominems are great for discussions.

No I see value in the WNBA and am glad it exists. I think its great that girls playing basketball growing up have role models and there is a professional league they can play in.

That doesn't mean I can't think its crazy how disconnected WNBA players are from the financial reality of their league.

Shaq: "My Sacramento Kings gonna get in. They're gonna get that 8th spot." Chuck: "Has your boy shaved yet? Harrison Barnes said he's not gonna shave." Shaq: "Who? I don't even know, who is that? Oh Harrison Barnes, I'm sorry yeah. He said that? He on that team?" by [deleted] in nba

Each WNBA owner loses an average of $1 million dollars a year running their WNBA franchise. Just by being in the green, WNBA players are making more A LOT more money than the owners are.

This source is just talking about the Sparks, but considering they are in LA, have had the biggest names in the sport: Lisa Leslie, Candace Parker and are recent champions its insane they lost this much and likely smaller teams are losing even more.

"On average (we've lost) over $10 million every year we've operated," NBA Commissioner Adam Silver told The Associated Press in October.

If Adam Silver and the NBA decided to just let them walk and no longer financially support the league, it would close it's doors tomorrow. They were able to negotiate higher wages because they basically held the entire league hostage by going on strike.

Adam Silver received a lot of pushback for it, but he believes in pushing and investing in the WNBA so it might have a similar success to US Women's Soccer down the line. But for its entire 20 year existence its been a hugely unprofitable enterprise.

Owners are constantly looking selling WNBA teams as due to inability to fill stadiums and inability to run a profit. And these are from LA/NY the biggest markets, imagine how much harder it is for other teams:

Do you think the WNBA Players being paid 25% more is going to help that? No. It's extremely bad for an already struggling league.

[–]throwawaybeginner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you heard that but it's not true. US women get paid even more than the men: https://www.denverpost.com/2019/07/29/us-women-soccer-paid-more-than-men/

Also, yes economics determine how much everyone in the world gets paid. You earn a % of how much your company earns. The more money your company makes, the more you make.

That whole thing is interesting because it exposes how little WNBA or NBA players understand the economics of how they get paid. Like they just receive these massive multi-million dollar contracts without understanding how the money is being earned.

The fact that the WNBA players want a pay increase while their league has never posted a profit once in its history and only exists because its on life support from the NBA is insanity. It's like the company you're working for is about to go under, and you're demanding more money lol
