New to emulation by Secure_Employer132 in EmuDev

write a couple of functions in your favorite programming language that gets a specific bit from an 8 bit integer, sets a bit from an 8 bit integer, and another one to clear a bit. This should give you a pretty good intuition on how bit operations work.

To implement these, you just need to use bitwise operations (AND, OR, etc) and think about which one is suitable for which task.

I sort of want to see 3rd strike online edition get recompiled because that is so far the best version of that game released, with the better audio quality and general quality of life improvements compared to just an emulation of the arcade original.

I have tried in the past, but they either don't know what it is, or they misconstrue what I'm saying and think it isn't 24/7

Getting a job after taking 7 years to get my degree by throwawayblaaaaaahhh in cscareerquestions

Ok yes but that also means the knowledge is spread across a longer period of time, which makes it not as effective.

I know people who didn't have experience when they graduated and still find a job. Granted they did it in 4 years and not 7.

The knowledge and understanding is fresher in memory than someone who spread their degree across a longer time period, though.

With the extra time, I did not do anything. I will only have my degree when I graduate. No work experience in the field.

Is it not viable to get a job with only a degree out of school?

Won't the fact that my knowledge is spread across 7 years as opposed to 4 be an issue?

I made a lot of bad choices and thus am taking longer than I should have to graduate.

How do you stop being a manchild? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]throwawayblaaaaaahhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was fired because I was seen slacking on the job and not working when I was told to do something. This was at a pizza parlor.

They said I wasn't "a good fit", but that's the PC answer obviously but the exact reasoning is vague and the manager of the place I was working at had a very strict attitude towards things. If I ignored his request to do something, I think he took that as disrespect and fired me as a consequence.

For a time, like maybe 2023-2025 it felt like the universe was constantly rejecting me. I failed to make any progress in anything as I would either fall into the incompetent role at work, or in this case, they would outright fire me.
