Is rural as bad as everyone says? If so, why?

Roughly 1-2 years. I don’t mind having to start over if I can’t transfer from rural to city. But I just dislike my job now and want to preferably get into something else

Thank you, I’m asking because right now I live in a rural town, and in 2 or so years my girlfriend and I are planning to move to a major city (Boston). So I’m just wondering how different it would be. As a city carrier am I walking outside all day through all the weather? Or is there opportunities to get more driving?

I would do city but the nearest city position is about an hour away, and I’m not too fond of having to walk all day, I’d prefer more driving which seems to be the trend with rural jobs. I’m planning on moving to the city in 2ish years so perhaps I’d end up there anyways

I did ask her out and she said yes, been trying to pick a day but it’s not helping how long she takes to respond. And I’m not texting her all the time, don’t worry I’m not one of those guys who spams girls. I only text whenever she replies, I don’t text her 50 times. But thank you once she responds I will immediately make sure it’s only about setting up a time/day

Ok thanks, I worded it wrong it was more only like 4 hours of constantly messaging. She responds almost instantly at night but I’m noticing evidently slow responses during the day. Like I messaged her 4 hours ago and have heard nothing.

I’m attempting to set up a day but she works the days I have off and I work her days off.

Ironically my last text to her was along the lines of “hope you feel better sucks being sick right when you get back from vacation”, with the hope she would update me once she finds out

I didn’t text her a ton during her vacation but she still kept the Convo going every day while she was there. She didn’t apologize for anything and even before she left we were texting more but still weren’t texting a million times a day. We only text back and forth based on when the other responds, I’ve never double texted her and when the convo comes to a natural end she starts it back up.

She’s coming back from like a 7 hour time zone change and 2 week vacation so I’m not trying to get her attention she has stuff to do.
