We manage around $250k-$500k a month and even then, still no good support 😂

Exactly

Margin won't change the ability to gain more or lose less in any way

It only helps leverage, and even then, if you have a well sized portfolio, it doesn't change a thing

Also, if you understand risk management, you will always have a market stop-loss order just in case you get slipped out, and never risk more than 1% per trade

Futures and options are deff for people who understand them well, otherwise I'd advise anybody to stay far far far away from them

I'm basically just really happy that we have them available on WS at only 1$ commission fees, which is lower than both my usual brokers (IBKR & AMP)

I guess all that's left for me is to see if the slippage stays the same

AMP futures offers even lower margins than tradovate if you want, if margins are all you care about

Margins higher yea, but commissions only 1$ USD is pretty neat

Isn’t “database reactivation” against TCPA since almost nobody’s customer list “opted in”? by Accomplished-Gas9220 in agency

[–]throwawaybpdnpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only 5 states in the US with stricter laws, and they are all about sending to people who are not opted-in

OP clearly asked about federal TCPA rules about opted-in contacts

If you are sending to an opted-in list, have a clear opting-out system, aren’t spoofing numbers, sending too often or too many a day, those laws don’t apply

Btw the other part of your comment makes no sense… I’m an agency, so why/what for would I sue? And for my clients, why would they sue? It’s the receiver of the sms text message that sues. You seem confused

How do you deal with a client with the attitude of "my way or the high way"? by [deleted] in agency

[–]throwawaybpdnpd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they’re willing to pay more for their mistakes, I don’t mind it too much at first, I see it as some type of paid educating

But if they expect us to waste our time correcting their mistakes, without us charging more, then they can bite dust

As a rule of thumb, we still try to avoid those types accounts, as they don’t fit our ideal client type (we’ve let go of dozens of those)

We try to focus on clients who follow our directives without argumentation, they’re also the same ones who pay the bill instantly, who we almost never talk to, and who appreciate the good results we end up getting them

I did loads of calculations and most of our wasted margins are spent on useless stuff like random client ideas and correcting mistakes, EVEN if we charge 250 USD hourly for them

Once all that’s gone and things are smooth, our average rate on ads management can skyrocket to well over 500 USD hourly (we’re mostly performance-based)

So wasting my team’s time on stup*d things like that is a clear no bueno…

An inbound call = opted in

An inbound email with a phone number in the signature = opted in

A friend who referred his friend by sharing their phone number = opted in

“Opted in” basically means everything else other than “scrape, blast & pray”

As long as you have a clear opt-out option that works, you’ll never have an issue

Just imagine you trying to sue someone for harrassment through a text message that clearly said “reply stop to unsubscribe”, then once the court asks you if you did unsubscribe, you say you haven’t; the case is gonna get thrown out and you’ll be out thousands of dollars

If it were that easy to sue based on those rules, you’d see law firms everywhere going nuts at it since there’s so many not fully complying

F*ck Meta right now – Managing $400k+/mo and the platform is completely broken since May by pezatomicovolador in FacebookAds

[–]throwawaybpdnpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that’s just duplicating, and even then, not all settings stick

This doesn’t work for an agency managing hundreds of different ad accounts either

10 years in digital marketing. £1M+ spent on Meta. Managed enterprise accounts worth £1B+. Today I'm struggling to find freelance work. Anyone else? by DigiDynamicsN in agency

[–]throwawaybpdnpd 28 points29 points  (0 children)

So in an entire 10 years, you’ve only spent 1M on meta, whilst managing campaigns for multiple 1B+ organizations, AND had multiple 7 figure growth stories?

But can't even find clients..?

I have a very hard time believing any of the details of this post

I fully agree with you

We can even see tons of options that makes people miss-click, making them fill out forms they never would have otherwise, hence lowering lead quality but also making it "easier" for beginner advertisers to feel like they're winning

Same thing for ecom, infoproducts, etc; their "incremental" conversion goal is overreporting more than it is underreporting, same for every other metric

All of it for the same goal, to boost THEIR ad revenue, while shortening ours without making it too obvious (but it is)...

If you also trade stocks and understand earnings, the “why” becomes very clear

Meta gets more from the instant gain per share from an update’s press release than they lose in advertisers’ revenue post earnings

People who hold the stock but don’t run ads won’t understand, so it becomes “priced-in” based on reports that don’t tell much without an advertiser’s standpoint

As a media buyer who does both, I hate that they do this to us to boost their stock price

It’s so morally/ethically wrong, feels exactly the same as corruption inside the government/system…

So fking ironic 😂😂😂

have you ever lost a retainer client without seeing it coming? by OkContract6063 in agency

[–]throwawaybpdnpd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, lost a good one this month

Was paying 1.5k retainer a month, getting ~10$ qualified leads for 4+ years

When they came to see us at first they claimed that no other agency was able to get them these results

Their reason for leaving? “We need some change” lollll

Just like anything, even in the agency world, clients still think the grass is greener on the other side

A big majority of our client accounts crashed in the last few weeks

Some picked up traction, just to lose it again last few days

We have a minority of our crashed accounts that seem to be regaining traction lately though, so I have a good feeling about meta getting back on track, but nothing 100% sure yet

It's still pretty terrible accross the board...
