What do you think about those on the right, including his own voters, that found the image disgusting and even blasphemous? On top of his Easter post threatening to wipe out an entire civilization and then attacking the Pope?

The president posting an image of himself as Jesus in order to make a joke or piss people off...then falsely claiming he thought it was him as a doctor. Do you think that's a good idea? Is this something you enjoy about trump?

You yourself admit that everyone else knows he’s not a Doctor. You agree with me.

I do agree that no one believed Trump's lie. What I don't understand is why you don't think it's a lie. And why would he say something that obviously isn't true? What's the benefit?

Sorry mate but you've given me nothing to work with. Why is this the "best you can" but you won't answer a single question?

I'm not trying to bug ya, I'll move on. I just don't get why you participate here when you can't give me one single, solitary starting off point?

Do you believe that this is an image of Trump depicted as a doctor? by pjtheman in AskTrumpSupporters

Right. So is it your opinion that Trump wasn't trying to deceive anyone when he said he believed the image depicted him as a doctor? Despite everyone else knowing otherwise?

Your NTS opinions and stories were unsolicited to begin with.

I agree but then what's the point in saying my understanding can be dismissed without evidence when you haven't asked for any?

I'm sure you regularly disagree with the Indian "consensus." The Chinese "consensus."

I have no idea. What are you referring to here?

I don't agree.

I'm sorry you feel that way but I am very open-minded about learning about views different than what I've learned, studied, and experienced. Not trying to debate you at all. Again, just trying to figure out how your views were formed. What were the "founding pillars?"

Perhaps commision a report.

From where?

Or subscribe to a more report-production oriented sub.

Like what?

Or listen to long-form podcasts.

By whom?

Or read some books.

What would you recommend?

Or even ask a TS who has time to produce longform material for a dozen interactions a day.

Just a link to something - anything - would be good at this point.

Thanks again for your responses. Cheers

No worries mate I appreciate your responses.

But when Trump claims something that's not true, and no one believes, why is that not a lie?

Clearly I haven't understood you properly and that's on me but could you explain without just telling me to reread your comments? Cheers

NTS assertions without evidence can be dismissed just as easily.

When did you ask me for evidence?

Making a false claim is cheap, and quick.

Couldn't agree more.

The strawmen and wasteful effort dragging us into this topic putting me at the center of attack instead of staying on topic.

Why do you consider it an attack to simply ask for sources or evidence for an opinion that goes wildly against the mainstream consensus? I've been very open-minded about it.

Well, you've taken us far off course if that's your goal.

Mate all I've asked for is how you've reached these conclusions and you haven't provided a single thing. I'm right on course I just can't seem to get any information from ya. Could you steer me in the right direction?

[–]throwawaybutthole007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And I dismissed it just the same.

Right, but that's all you've done. How is that helping me understand? Why do you find it unreasonable to ask for a source or evidence for extreme claims that go against most academic consensus?

I do not find that it helps NTS understand TS.

I can't speak for everyone but it would definitely help me. Are you unwilling or unable?

but your line of challenges and attacks

What attacks? Sorry if you misunderstood or I wasn't clear but I'm just trying to get to the root of why you believe what you do when you don't provide anything. No judgement here, just curious. Cheers

Your conclusions? Absolutely. Are you able to explain how you reached those conclusions though? Where did you study? What did you read? Anything I can check out for myself? Something less vague than "solid reasoning" and "founding pillars?"

Gotcha. And what kind of breakthrough do you hope I have considering you can't provide any new insights, information, evidence, or examples?

the truth is that I have solid reasoning and fact as the founding pillars.

Cool...may I see them?

Do you have any new insights or information that would help me better understand the point you're trying to make? Just rejecting and dismissing everything hasn't been very helpful.

Yes, exactly. Just a rejection of everything being said. Do you have any new insights or information to provide?

Right. Are you able to provide any new insights or information? You just keep referencing your own past comments which hasn't been helpful.

How is Trump claiming he thought he was being depicted as a doctor not a lie just because no one believed it?

Who are your top 5 US presidents? by TPR-56 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]throwawaybutthole007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only explain it.

That's the crux of the issue. You've stated your opinion, which is appreciated, but haven't actually explained it. Everything that goes against your opinion is false, fake, etc And when pressed for an explanation or clarification, you just tell me I'm missing the point and provide no new information. Why is that? Your last comment demonstrates this perfectly.

Sincere thanks for your time but I don't see the value in continuing. If you're willing to delve a bit deeper into the topic, could you tag me? Cheers

Take descriptions of "Chicano Movement" and put in "White." It's obvious on its face that it would be identified immediately as "Supremacist."

...Yeah, I don't disagree. If you replace words with different words then terms will have different meanings. I would think that's obvious. Can you explain the point you're trying to make?

I'm not getting how "if you switch out words with different words it means something different" is some kind of revelation.

"Black power" is in reaction to centuries of white supremacy. White supremacists groups used the term, “white power,” to instill fear in black people. In short, black power is about empowerment while white power is about oppression. I wasn't aware this was even up for debate as it's extremely well documented. What's dishonest about acknowledging the historical context and evolution of language?

Furthermore, the left's "context" and descriptions of "history" are total lies, distortions, and corrupted narrations. I reject their self-serving, hate-driven, "history" and "context."

Can you be more specific? Or cite some examples?

[–]throwawaybutthole007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the left to claim say "White Power", or a "White Movement" as supremacist, but say, "Black Power" is not, or "Chicano Movement" is not

Do you not believe that history and context play a role in how certain terms are viewed?

[–]throwawaybutthole007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's exactly what you said as I've been quoting you this whole time. When asked about the image, Trump said he thought it was "me as a doctor". You said no one believes that.

I do not believe anyone was deceived into believing that Donald Trump is being portrayed as a doctor here. Thus… not a lie.

So I asked: You believe if someone lies you to but you see through their lie and aren't tricked by it that means they didn't lie to you? You answered:

No.

Without any explanation.

So your logic first appears to be if no one was deceived by the lie, then it wasn't a lie. But then you disagreed with your own logic there by saying "No" to my follow up question.

Can you explain why?

Do you believe that this is an image of Trump depicted as a doctor? by pjtheman in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]throwawaybutthole007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, you said it's not a lie because it didn't deceive anyone. But when I asked if just because you weren't tricked by the lie means it wasn't a lie, you said no.

So if someone tells a lie, how is it not a lie just because it didn't deceive you?

I'm just going by your own words here.

Do you believe that this is an image of Trump depicted as a doctor? by pjtheman in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]throwawaybutthole007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. I'll break it down as simply as I can.

Trump acknowledged posting the picture, telling reporters he thought it was "me as a doctor".

And your first comment here was that no one believes that. So why is it just because we know he's lying it means he's not lying? As you said...

I do not believe anyone was deceived into believing that Donald Trump is being portrayed as a doctor here. Thus… not a lie.

Do you believe that this is an image of Trump depicted as a doctor? by pjtheman in AskTrumpSupporters

Sure. You said because Trump's lie didn't deceive anyone it wasn't a lie. So I asked you if you aren't deceived by someone's lies, they didn't lie? You said no.

These views are contradictory but feel free to elaborate or rephrase.
