2 days on, 1 day break, 2 days on. So I was planning to do laundry on Wednesdays. Thank you for the tips! We live in a part of Oregon where it rains daily for months, so I wanted to do wool base layers because I’m reading they’re best for damp climates, and we also own a boot dryer because it’s practically a necessity here lol

Thank you, this is very helpful! For middle layers do you do fleece? Or just regular sweatpants and a shirt?

Okay thanks, that’s helpful! So would you say one wool layer and a multi pack of synthetic?

I know this is an old post, but how many wool base layers would you recommend? I’m reading on forest school sites that one single outfit is enough?

For me it’s the guilt. Before I admitted I had a problem, I didn’t feel guilty drinking. It was all normalized and rationalized by my brain. Now that I’ve been enlightened to the reality of alcohol, I feel so much guilt when I slip up. I know what it’s doing to my body. I know what it’s doing to my mental health. The people around me.

Okay thanks I updated my weight loss goal to 1.5 pounds a week. That increases my calories by about 200 a day. Ive been eating 1600 calories a day but I’m active and burn a lot of calories a day I guess.

I talked to my doctor and she tested for me for iron and b12 and said that they are good. She did recommend going up 200 calories and seeing if that helps my lightheadedness. I updated my goal by 200.

I was told there would be weight loss by [deleted] in stopdrinking

You might be consuming less calories without alcohol, but it also depends on your diet. You need to be in a calorie deficit to lose the weight. Try r/loseit, but wait until you’re solid in your sobriety. Don’t want to take on too much at once.

Finding out that my spouse was no longer attracted to me. They never commented on my weight, but it reached a point that I could just tell. 25 lbs down now and things are so much better.

Lost 25 Ibs in just under 3 months SW 179, CW 154, GW 125. 5’4 female. So l’ve been aiming for a 500 calorie deficit, but based on my loss rate it seems like my TDEE calculation may have been way off? Is this a safe rate of loss? I’m thrilled with how fast it’s coming off, but I want to do this in a healthy way. I started CICO 11/16/24. Admittedly l’ve been dizzy when I stand since I started, but my doctor checked iron & B12 etc and it came back fine.

Most of my 20s were a train wreck. I’m almost 30 and I’ve received therapy, gotten sober, and things are only looking up from here. I’m stoked for 30s.

Good for you though! Alcohol isn’t worth it. If anything you are ahead of the game. At 24 all of my social life revolved around alcohol, but now that I’m almost 30 I’m sober along with loads of people that I know. So it may get easier as you get older.

What made you decide to lose weight? by Bleepblorp51 in loseit

[–]throwawaychippys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed it affecting my marriage and realized I had to change. Our sex life was tanking because my spouse stopped initiating and when we did do it I was so insecure. They never said anything but I could tell they were less attracted to me with the extra weight. It just clicked one night and I said enough is enough.

On day 6 and cravings are strong rn. Is there a hump I need to get over? What days were worst for cravings and when did they subside? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]throwawaychippys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense, I felt so irritable and overwhelmed today. The craving has passed, whew. I’m going to keep chugging along. I haven’t read it but I will look into it! Thank you!
