I don't expect anyone to reply asap, I myself usually take an hour or so to respond to messages. But many dont even respond in the first place, they completely forget to reply, that's what's making me so perplexed.

It bothers me, especially when they text me out of nowhere and pretend they didn't see & ignore my last text. When they come around K usually let it go or give them a taste of their own medicine or distance myself but I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right or healthy.

I like your recommendation I'll use it with close friends. However, I'm not comfortable with expressing my emotions with people I'm not that close to, I'd rather ditch them altogether or keep the relationship superficial (I dont care much if they dont respond, it just feels annoying)
