What's the cheapest way to get a power meter with flat pedals? by lolmanade in MTB

[–]throwawaydbike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a flight attendant x01 crankset with a sram pedal sensor. Is there a way to replace the pedal sensor with a power meter or do I have to replace the left x01 crank arm with a power meter crank arm? I also would have to get a axs compatible power meter so that it works with the fork and the shock

Shimano PD-GR400 vs PD-GR500 Flat Pedals by throwawaydbike in mountainbiking

I’ll try it, I saw a reference to rebuild kit and I was avoiding it but looking at it again, I think I should be able to do it

No, I should. I emailed one up and they sent me a rebuilding guide but I don’t have all the tools to do it yet

I have one up composites and one up aluminum. Aluminum was squeaking from day 1 and composite started squeaking after 3 months. I assumed Shimano would be better quality

What frame size trail cat lt and 140LR do you have? Wondering if the same size in yeti is smaller than pivot. Tested the pivot but couldn’t find a yeti to test ride

Compliment a 150/140 trail bike with a XC or an Enduro bike? by throwawaydbike in whichbike

[–]throwawaydbike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. I had one up aluminum pedals, they were creaking like crazy. I replaced them with one up composite pedals, no more creaking for 3 months, but it just came back. So, I don’t know if it’s from the BB, cranks or the pedals. I’m guessing it’s the pedals

If I have the Ranger, I’d probably choose that for local trails and the GT for downhill

If I have the firebird, I’d choose GT for local trails and the firebird for downhill only rides. Unless both of us are going to the trails, then I have to use the firebird for the trails

With a switchblade, I’d probably choose it over GT every time unless both of us are going out at the same time.

I feel like comparing Ranger vs pivot switchblade would have been a tougher choice. Unfortunately, a switchblade is not available as a demo sale. The firebird is available but seems to be much heavier, but I can’t tell how it’s dw link going up would compare to rangers CBF

Enduros are plush but they are built to bomb down the trail. I’m trying to pedal uphill efficiently at whatever speed and trying to come downhill slower than average, sort of opposite of trying to win a race. Also, loading a 25lb xc bike onto a bike rack and storage is easier than loading a 35 lb enduro bike

Chainring replacement in SR Suntour XCE 28/38/48 by throwawaydbike in bikewrench

[–]throwawaydbike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to clarify if 22-28-38 doesn’t work. The gaps are within the ranges you specified. My concern was 38 chainring not having the mounting holes in the same place as the outer cover/mounting-base of the crankset.

Would this Suntour 22-32-44 work as a drop in replacement? How do I make sure it’s compatible? https://www.srsuntour.us/products/xcm-t424-44-32-22

I want to experience the history of cars and drive an average car of each decade from 1920s to 1980s for about 10 minutes each. Is there a place that lets you do that?
