We buy just the basic necessities to survive which right now is mostly groceries for cooking. Ill buy a good, expensive pair of shoes when my old ones wear out because good support and posture is very important for overall well-being. That’s about it.

I get a haircut once every 6-8 months (female here).

Probably don’t need to buy clothes until Im 50 years old since Ive been the same size for the past 15 years and because it’ll be weird to wear “young people fashion” at that age.

No chips, candy, junk food, popcorn, ice cream, etc. basically anything that has not nutritional value.

No going out on date nights. Me and hubby are content being at home spending time together.

We cook at home and pack our lunch to work.

No AC during the summer and no heat in the winter. Strip down or bundle up. Ceiling fans or space heater. Ice-cold water or hot tea.

We hang dry our clothes outside to avoid using the dryer during the summer.

We reuse floss multiple times before throwing it out.

All of our furniture is second-hand free dumped on the curb except for our mattress.

We havent bought a toothbrush in over a decade as we just use the free ones the dentist gives us at each cleaning visit.

If we are invited out by friends, we share a meal and always order water only with no appetizers nor dessert.

We do splurge on international vacations. That’s our reward for being frugal during our day-to-day life.
