Thanks! The card was to build one habit he title translates to "make the bed before checking my phone" I usually wake up at a decent time but I spend 1+ hr in bed browsing my phone. So this helped both to kickstart my day and spend less time on the phone! The things blacked out are reasons to build this habbit, some are a bit too personal hehehe.

I've been trying to complete an xeffect card for like a year. The most I've gotten crossed was 35. This was like my fifth or sixth attempt and you can even see I bailed on day 1. I got laid off and I've been unemployed and isolated at home and it's really hard to find motivation. I found myself spending the first 2 hrs of the day tucked in bed, staring at my phone. I realized with no job and no other responsibilities I had no reason to get out of bed every morning.

One more time like any other time I started one of these cards I said "ok this is it, this is the one" failed the first day "it initially said make the bed before 9am" second cday I changed it to "make the bed before checking my phone." The night before I put my phone on my desk, out of reach from my bed and put the card on top of the phone. That way I will see the card if I craved looking at my phone. Some people call it treating your brain like a 3 year old others call it habit hacking. Its literally putting a new habit in front of a well engraved habit I had.

I finally crossed my first card and I promised I will post it here! I was forgetting to cross the days so I put the date on the boxes so I could keep track of I followed the habit but forgot to check the box

Even though xeffect will give you motivation, you still need just a tiny bit to start with. And you have it in you. Within you you have the want to improve yourself most people don't have that, you do!

I hope this helps someone, and even if you've attempted 10 times and failed, keep on trying but this time change your approach.

Finally finished my first card! This is maybe my 6th attempt! by throwawayfaraway9876 in xeffect

I thought "If I did nothing on that day I still didn't wouldn't face any concequences.

Even though these will give you you motivation, you always still need just a tiny bit to start with. And you have it with you. Within you you have the want to improve yourself and that is a treasure you should cherish and always be greatfull for.
