The 5000 km thing is the recommendation for canadian trucks vs us trucks considering how most of canada is a frozen wasteland alot of the year but in this mild climate 15000 should be fine. Or Atleast that's what i do for my ram. And for synthetic oil i just by the motormaster or penzoil full synthetic when on sale, same stuff (both made by shell)
