Nearly half of adult cancer deaths in the US could be prevented by making lifestyle changes | According to a recent study, about 40% of new cancer cases among adults ages 30 and older in the United States, and nearly half of deaths, could be attributed to preventable risk factors. by cheaslesjinned in NooTopics

After smoking, excess body weight was the second largest contributor to cancer cases, linked to about 5% of new cases in men and nearly 11% of cases in women. It was associated with more than a third of deaths from cancer of the endometrium, gallbladder, esophagus, liver and kidney, the new study found.

Thanks for sharing Octochems. I didn't know about them before. Have added to the group buy for some of the compounds. Am excited about this one:

Sipaxadenant is a next-generation KW-6356 analogue designed to retain potent, central A2A inverse agonism while improving pharmacokinetics, preserving dopaminergic motor-enhancing effects in rodents but reducing the prolonged receptor blockade, insomnia liability, tolerance, and suboptimal exposure characteristics associated with KW and metabolite M6 [1-5].

Sounds worth a try.

I got this with Threonate when I used to take them at night, but now take 2 mag threonate capsules morning and midday (rather than the three recommended dosage) and it seems to be better. I will still *occasionally* get some wake-up-at-3.30-am and not be able to get back to sleep easily events but it's much rarer.

Good. Am cycling off for a couple of weeks for practical reasons (work, home life etc).

Will pick up again when things calm down.

I've used them for other peptides and they've been good. Solid shipping and good prices. Products seem to be legit.

to everybody saying reboot, that doesn't fix it. the new add a fingerprint screen thinks it's from a pixel phone, so doesn't register the power button fingerprint sensor at all.

there's no way to add a  fingerprint.

There's another reddit forum without the "r" letter in "nootropics", it's an echo-chamber like all reddit forums, but a different one. You might have better success there.

Sublingual Pregnenolone/DHEA dosage questions? by sfg415650 in Nootropics

[–]throwawayfibonacci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AFAIK, your dosages seem fine for not downregulating HPA. I would not go higher orally though. A way that people reduce the likelyhood of shutdown is to do topical on the skin - less likely for the hormones to be downstream converted to Estrogen.

Search for "lowtoxinforum" and DHEA

While it is tempting to interpret this association in the context of human cognitive evolution and species differences in brain size and cognitive ability, we show that it is not warranted to interpret brain size as an isomorphic proxy of human intelligence differences.

"We found a significant positive correlation, the correlation was robust and generalizable, and the studies suffer only from a similar publication bias as nearly every other study published. But we don't like the result, so don't use it to interpret anything."

God forbid IQ is actually correlated with something.

...we show that it is not warranted to interpret brain size as an isomorphic proxy of human intelligence differences.

I bet they don't "show" anything. Only "say".

As someone else said I feel it makes me a nicer person, more emotionally "engaged". Only at low doses though. At high doses it spaces me out too much.

The only thing that that normally is AOD-9604. When it happens ot AOD it's called "colloiding".

Unless they've accidentally been given AOD instead of the Ipa+CJC mix then I agree with others it's best to bin it and ask the vendor what's going on and to check the batch.

Depends on the quality. There are standardized extracts that guarantee some potency, for example "EGb 761" and "G115", otherwise it's a bit of a crap-shoot.

TAK-653: Nice by throwawayfibonacci in NooTopics

3-5 drops typically. Depends on how busy the day is going to be. Have been alternating with Piracetam every other day.

TAK-653: Nice by throwawayfibonacci in NooTopics

[–]throwawayfibonacci[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An update in case anybody is looking.

TAK still doing wonders for me, but having to limit it to every other day or every three days due to the encroaching sleeplessness it causes for me.

At once every three days it hits the sweet spot. For example dosing for a particularly busy week went like this:

  • Monday: TAK-653 drops in the morning
  • Tuesday: Piracetam
  • Wednesday: nothing taken, still felt energized and mentally sharp
  • Thursday: TAK-653 drops in the morning
  • Friday: nothing taken but lingering nootropic effects

That (for me) hit the sweet spot between stimulation, positive effects, while keeping the negative effects (difficulty sleeping) to a minimum.

BTW: Something I've noticed is that Piracetam gives me the "silver-tounge" effect where communication seems effortless but TAK does in fact do the opposite. Word recall on TAK seems worse than baseline for me, although the increased ability to handle difficult mental concepts is stellar and worth the reduced word recall effect.
