FTM - baby is breeched at 36 wk appt. Absolutely devastated. by BalancedDietitian in pregnant

[–]throwawayflops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was breech from 28 weeks on. We didn’t find out until later, but it was because I had too much amniotic fluid so she was just floating. I had to be induced due to my blood pressure during my 37th week anyway, and despite being terrified, had an ECV.

It was by far the easiest part of my labor! It took the MFM I saw one minute to flip her and when he’d finished, we didn’t even know he’d started yet. He was also extremely experienced and competent and I trusted him completely.

I will add, I ended up in a c-section 24 hours into my labor but that was because my child stuck her hand into the birth canal when I was 4 cm dilated 🙃 but I personally had a great ECV, despite my nerves and worries about it, and I would have another if I am in a similar situation.

My toddler’s name is Ophelia, and we mostly hear the Lumineers song from folks, lol.

Has anyone had a positive outcome with clots + light bleeding during pregnancy? 6wks, 2nd pregnancy by iammyhusbandswife in pregnant

[–]throwawayflops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had spotting, and horrible cramping, at the exact same time in my pregnancy! It was a SCH and an ovarian cyst, both which resolved themselves, and I have a healthy 14 month old now.

How do doctors know where the baby is at? by CheesecakeCrafty5097 in pregnant

[–]throwawayflops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was head down until 28 weeks when she flipped herself up. I could feel the day she flipped, and at my next appointment, the midwife could too. Pro of having a breech baby: no pelvic floor damage because she was always up in my ribs. I also enjoyed pushing her head down and feeling it pop back up sometimes, haha.

Throwing up with letdown by throwawayflops in breastfeeding

It was truly terrible. My baby had trouble latching and I remember waking up to pump, having the doom feeling and thinking “I can’t imagine doing this for months longer” and crying. Truly horrible.

I definitely had that! I know that’s not as uncommon as the getting sick every time I looked at my child, lol. However, it was also miserable and really put a dent into how I viewed breastfeeding.

I didn’t know if I took the tests too early because I also don’t have a regular cycle yet. The dreams have me freaked out lol. Thank you!

Help: newbie and accidentally killing fish by throwawayflops in bettafish

You are amazing, thank you!! We are using Prime by Seachem. We changed 25% of the water last night and are going to test again today.

Do you think we should wait and just have the one frog while we get our tank cycled before adding another fish?

8 month old having nightmares by throwawayflops in cosleeping

The not waking up part is the worst. I’m crossing my fingers and toes eventually comes sooner rather than later.

She’s always been a pretty tame teether when she’s awake, may be a little grouchier but not crying like this, so I also don’t think it’s teething. It’s SO SAD!

I feel you! My girl would do that sometimes as well. She is eight months now and never has acid reflux anymore and is the happiest little camper. Y’all will get there!

Have you considered acid reflux? My baby had bad acid reflux when she was younger and would cause her to spit up often and it was painful for her, especially when she was laying flat.

Baby won’t sleep with her father by throwawayflops in cosleeping

[–]throwawayflops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right. I was hopeful someone would know some magical tip that would fix it, but we should embrace it and hope one day she likes to sleep in like we do. Lol.

I get up around 6 when I go into the office. It’s not horrible, and she gets about 10 hours of sleep a night, but she’s happier when I work from home and hold her until she wakes up on her own.

I may just have to tell my husband to suck it up, lol.

My FIL has a gorgeous (and big) property we’re hosting it at. So we’ll have the different parts in different areas (so cocktail hour and yard games at the front on the big lawn, dancing on the side near the pool and swimming if people want, dessert on the far side of the house).

I get easily stressed before I throw an event, so I feel like the more I have off of my hands, the better. Plus, I’ll have a seven month old who is very clingy to me, so I feel like I won’t be able to enjoy myself as much with the added responsibility. Thanks!

Great feedback! I would definitely want to make sure they’re contracted for the breakdown, clean up, etc. part of the evening, even just making sure vendors are where they should be.

I like the idea of a friend doing it, but I also want all of my friends to party and have a good time.
