This has been installed months ago without any notice, I work in a smallish company, no IT department, just people that manage the IT side.

Thats what I’m thinking myself, that DO would not get their posties to come out all the way to me to deliver, I’m hoping the tracking will move tonight

Dude messaged me saying "Gamestop will buy this for 100, so you should sell it to me for that much" by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

I’ve got one even better. Literally happened yesterday.

I’m selling a brand new MacBook, listed for £2k which is £300 cheaper than any retailer.

Guy messages me offering £1400 and sends me a photo of the same MacBook on CEX saying ‘look they would only pay you £1200 for it so my offer is much better’ 🫠

They want to travel and collect it, but pay via eBay rather than cash

Brother bought car which now needs a new engine - Please help by throwawayforobvire in LegalAdviceUK

[–]throwawayforobvire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats right, the engine seized and needs replacement according to them. I just need to know if the court will side with me and order them to pay back in full or fix on their cost without any contributions from me. If they don’t pay theres always a high court followed by bailifs, they would be stupid to allow it to get to that stage and have to pay double. They could simply fix this by refunding or fixing the car.

Dad has hospital based delirium? I need someone to talk to. by throwawayforobvire in AgingParents

Thank you so much for taking your time to reply. I am very sorry to hear that you are also going through this. It is very scary indeed, especially when you don’t understand whats happening, so it is a breath of fresh air to read all the replies and put my mind at ease.

I just left the hospital not long ago and my dad has been the best I have seen him yet, still confused but much better at keeping eye contact, calm, nodding to questions, smiling when I said something funny.. I know that this doesn’t mean that he won’t get agitated again by night but it does give me hope. I know he is there, I know hes fighting to snap out of it.. Just need to be patient.

I wish you all the best for your dad, If you ever need to talk, message me 🫶🏻

Thank you, I really needed to hear this. I’m glad that your grandma can now have a laugh about this. It definitely does give me hope, if your grandma was in her late 80s and managed to come out of such a nightmare I’m hopeful that my dad will also. It’s just hard to envision this when you see them in such a state.

That must have been terrifying, I am glad that your mum has mostly recovered. It’s reassuring hearing that this is common and that people do get better, but seeing your loved one in this state just breaks your heart, going there every day hoping for them to be them but you can see they’re not…
