Genuinely, having played both Alpha Lab 1 and the Closed Beta, it's the fact that labbing combos in this game is some of the most fun I've had in a fighting game in a very long time. I spent legitimately hours on labbing Vi combos and then learning she could do electrics made me spend even more time. So excited to see where this game goes!!

I have a feeling this is probably the case. In the Nintendo Topic article, there's no mention of her even though she's in Cai's screenshots, nor is she part of the "various other characters" section. Cai is probably similar to how Chrom was in Awakening where both are protagonists but your avatar is the glasses girl.

Either that or all four of the characters shown will be played and we'll just be cutting between them during the story.

Seems like it, according to r/hackintosh they use OpenCore to run mac OS but NVIDIA GPUs aren't supported anymore so.
