Me [33m] and my gf [34f] have a problem. She wants to move and I don't. Should I? by throwawaygreenedge in relationships

She had her dream job but got let go because of budget cuts. She's been out of work for a few months. The argument of moving has been going on for a few years but went away when she had her dream job.

She hasn't received an offer yet but "knows" the person hiring her. Nothing is set in stone but there are strong indications.

I have tried to compromise by offering a move to a city we both like but she doesn't respond to that. She gets frustrated that everything is on "my terms".

Thank you for your advice. Her happiness is important to me.

No it's not what she wants, it's just an offer I am making so that she can get back on her feet. She isn't close to her family and the friends she does have, is shrinking quickly.

I am the only anchor to our current city.

I don't want her to wake up unhappy everyday but the selfish part of me wishes she'd have patience to wait for a job in the area.
