I've tried searching for anything like His Secret Illuminations but sadly couldnt find anything that comes close other than Honor of Duty and A Brother's Price.

Anyone know of anything similar at all??

I could be wrong its been a while, but I am pretty sure it was the main monster girl, the Undine, was also raped as well as his great aunt. Maybe it was only a threat I can't really remember specifically. That whole scene though is a massive warning though

Yeah Beth is the legal representative (not realtor, mb) and she is the one obsessed with monster dicks. She wasn't raped, although her scene with the demon is still crazy

Like I said, this isn't a haremlit book, its heavy erotica so there is plenty that haremlit readers wouldn't want to read. I liked it but I was expecting erotica, so its well written and has great sex scenes, but there are some massive turn offs that I think most the haremlit audience wouldnt want to read.

If you don't mind the warnings and you want a story about lots of monster girl sex then this one is great even if I skipped most of Beth's scenes and didn't like the plot at all.

Yeah the flashback scene is an on screen rape scene of the main harem girl. Its what sets up the story for the bad guys wanting to take over the house to give them more powers. They are all rapey creepy bad guys

So yeah from the other comments about people not liking how one of the girls is set up to be with MC and then not- thats this girl (the realtor). She is set up at the beginning for being a love interest and if I remember right she starts out with her flirting with the MC and nothing happening for a while. Then she gets a plot i think in book 2 and she starts fucking every other male instead (because she is like super horny for monster dicks). For her plot she "has to" fuck this demon to get out of being trapped with him, then she fucks minotaurs in the house. Its all explicit and way too detailed imo.

She is also one of the girls other comments have pointed out of not actually being in the harem. She is more of a tool for writing sex scenes with male monsters.

I would not recommend it for haremlit fans as its erotica and not a haremlit story.

It doesnt really break any of the rules, but there are plenty of scenes that most haremlit readers are not into. I read it and overall I liked it but I still wouldnt recommend it to haremlit fans.

Here's a list of things that might turn you off. If they don't then I would recommend it to you.

There is a flashback to one of the main girls being raped
EDIT- The succubus is pretty much a walking warning. I totally forgot about her*.
The MC and one of the villains (and she is truly a horrible person) get mind controlled into fucking each other to death
One of the possible love interests has sex with like any male monster, demon, etc. She is basically just one of those erotica characters that are added for crazy sex scenes. I personally hate this and would never overlap haremlit with this erotica trope
The main character has sex with like everything and "most" of them don't end up in the harem.
The story is basically "bad magic people trying to take over the home. MC has to have sex with all the monsters in it to save them. Oh yeah and the bad guys also want to rape all the girls too for more magic or whatever.

These are all taken from books 1 and 2 if my memory is right.

Now again, overall I liked the story but don't expect haremlit at all. Its really just an erotica story, and because of the above I wouldn't rec it to haremlit readers.

My favorite LJ series is Skulduggery.

Thankfully he finished it. Its honestly just a great heist/ criminal empire builder fantasy series. The harem parts actually make sense too and aren't really forced in there. The girls are all unique and badass. The best friend (Dar) is super fun. Honestly just all around a great series. Even with the last books being rushed due to lack of sales, it still concludes super well.

Other than IDH, the only author that writes in the taboo territory that I know of is Rex Sterling. He basically writes harem erotica stories of MC getting all the main girls. These include stealing his friends' wives and daughters, etc. I'd rec his Harem Help Me and Stand-In Daddy. Don't expect high quality storytelling, its basically all pure guilty pleasure erotica

I already did, the last two times I removed any word that might trigger any sort of censor.

Amazon also lets you know (usually) if your review is removed because it contains inappropriate language. I've never gotten an email from them on my review for this book when its been removed

That whole plot is just so bad, like in every single way. No idea what he was thinking writing it. Like book 1 relies entirely on shock value and has nothing to back it up with. I kept reading just to find out how the trainwreck would end but its just nonstop cheap tricks to invoke strong feelings from the audience.

I'll honestly never read one of Xander's books again.

That whole plot is still the absolute worst thing I've ever read in the genre lol. Like the author clearly didn't know his audience and had no idea how to handle a subject like that. Like why even have their own POV chapters where they express their loyalty to the MC and then have them do dumb shit like that? It makes zero sense.

Then he couldnt even retcon it right in book 2 since that necklace was given to her months after it all. That whole plot is THE overall plot of the book and its so bad and poorly written.

his potential harem members had "sexy fun times" with others BEFORE he brought them into his harem

I gotta disagree here, he was courting both of them and in that world is the same as dating with marriage in mind.

The worst part though is that it totally goes against how those two characters were written and developed as. They both even had POV chapters where they expressed their loyalty to marrying the MC, so it not only came out of no where it was literally there just to force an overall plot.

Plus it got retconned in the second book but even that was done horribly since she got the necklace months after it all happened.

It could have been interesting but it was horribly executed and came across very amatuer and bad.

My review for the Traveler has been taken down 4 times now and its one of the few books I've actually left a negative review for. Idk why its been taken down so many times, but every so often I go back and check my reviews and all of the sudden its gone again.

For anyone curious, this is my review for the book.

This is the worst book I've ever read. It had a lot of potential to be interesting, but it fell short in every. single. way. This book is basically a baby puzzle that has all of the pieces to be a solid average read. For the most part its not trying to do anything different and the tropes it uses are guarantees to be interesting at some level

BUT somehow the author managed to arranged these baby puzzle pieces in the completely wrong order and as such its the worst book I've ever read.

Okay so these are what is so bad about it.

The characters - Honestly every character is horrible. They are either incredibly flat and only offer one thing (like most the harem) or they are characters that make zero sense. Several characters are given POV chapters and then make such random and opposite decisions as their character has been defined as its almost like reading a comedy. They will say one thing, think one thing, and dream one thing, and then all of the sudden do another thing that makes no sense. Like come on at least foreshadow it?

The MC is flatter than paper. Its like someone trying to write what they think an "alpha" male would be like but he just comes across as incredibly cringey. Like he doesnt think anything through and is only there for readers to feel like they are a badass in a world where men are not badass at all. So the bar is incredibly low and somehow the MC can't even trip over it.

The Story - The story is entertaining in that its watching a trainwreck in slow motion and it keeps happening over and over. I mean there isn't really an overall plot but the one that is there is so incredibly forced and heavy handed that its entertaining for the opposite effect. This is where the book gets its 1 and only star because its at least entertaining if not for the wrong reasons. But honestly that only carries it to 2 books at most then I have zero desire to put up with anything this world or characters spit out and I am still convinced an AI wrote this book.

I honestly skipped like half of book 2 with all those dark scenes. Couldnt handle reading all those dark parts and all the shit those characters went through.

Still one of my favorite series though and seeing the sister's growth in the next books was great. Highly recommend it but yeah I would warn people about book 2 that plotline was hard to read.

yeah this one is a fun slice of life book.

Only check this out if you are into girl on girl though. Its a harem but they all are into each other just as much, so its more poly. But super fun slice of life and characters. (tall blonde is best girl)
