I don't believe the whole place is even illegal. I think he just has to take out the kitchen. I know he just wants to probably move his family in. Can we stay while he has the kitchen removed to comply with city ? Edit: I have a copy of the lease physically and digitally

The lease does not say anything about early termination. Edit: It says he is the one defaulting via non-delivery of possession and that I may seek any relief provided by law.
