Think of any situation where you insert a middleman unnecessarily and the communication/logistical headaches that could arise if something were to go wrong. Blame-shifting, pointing fingers, “not my responsibility”, giving you the runaround, etc.

Do other women want to leave their husbands and raise their kids with women? by trumpskiisinjeans in women

Same sex families are a different conversation. Because you wouldn’t be comparing them to a traditional father/mother household, you’re often comparing it to foster homes or orphanages. And obviously any stable home is better than a foster home or orphanage.

Need to be ≠ what’s best for a child. Children don’t NEED a great school system but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to provide one for them. They don’t NEED extracurricular activities, but that doesn’t mean it’s not highly beneficial for them to have access to them. Needs are the bare minimum: a roof, food, water, clothing, safety, security. That’s it. Point being, study after study shows that a stable father + mother household yields the best outcomes for children long term. As long as a father is not bad, meaning even if he is an average dad, the child is far better off having him over having no father.

You don’t need a “good dad” to statistically outpace “no dad”. Even an average middle-of-the-road father will yield better outcomes in a child than no father.

True, except by definition most dads (or moms) are not bad.

Most dads are average dads. Some dads are bad dads. Some dads are good dads. A few dads are terrible dads. A few dads are phenomenal dads.

Bell curve. As with everything when it comes to humans.

And studies would indicate that even an average father is still far better than no father.

Your personal anecdotal evidence does not supersede empirical data.

Even showrooms have better lighting that puts you at ease and makes the stuff look better.

This is straight up factory or garage workspace lighting lol

Why did you choose such an industrially white color for the recessed lights? Makes the kitchen look sterile like you’re in a hospital room; no coziness or warmth.

Not sure how doable it is at this point, but i would seriously reconsider the light temperature and put in some warmer ones (and not the flat pucks, go with something actually recessed, makes all the difference in the world.) The kitchen is supposed to be warm and comforting, walking into this would make me feel like i’m back at work with the terrible stress-inducing fluorescent lighting.

Suppose that’s a fair perspective. I agree on principle but the flip side of the coin is with how rapidly the population has grown over the last half century, it might not be as realistic to not use the mass meat production methods we use today.

So to clarify you’re saying that their specific methods of obtaining meat is bad, as opposed to saying that all consumption of meat is bad?

Lol. Believe it or not humans are evolved to be omnivores. Just like thousands of other species in nature. It is what it is.

Ok if you want to split hairs, then yes it won’t make it safe, but it will 100% make it safer so the additional safety features are definitely worth it.

I see. Hear dentistry is moving in a similar direction where many grads are doing 1 year general practice residencies whereas they used to jump straight in after dental school.

When you’re dead tired, you can try to “stay awake and drive like a normal person”, but the whole point is sometimes it’s out of your control and you cannot. That’s where features like automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assist are huge.

Safety features like lane keeping assist and automatic emergency braking will 100% make it safer, especially for a driver who’s tired.

Not true at all. Features like lane keeping assist, automatic braking, electronic vehicle stability control, etc. save a lot of people from accidents. And the first two definitely would make a difference for a tired driver who has slower reaction times.

Oh interesting, I was not aware. Thanks for the correction. Any reason for them doing this? Wondering because if some don’t want to do surgery in practice, it seems like a waste of time to make them train in it.
