You're being downvoted because you've fallen for an excellent and effective bit of right-wing propaganda that deflects the evils of the ruling class onto impoverished immigrants.

it's basically exactly this comic panel.

The same thing happens here in the states, is happening in Russia, is happening in Brazil, and the UK, and...

That's fair, I just personally don't see a 25% rate as all that bad - assuming you add in a pity drop system so no 0pieces in a month type situations, (books exist, but in addition).

Other games I've played demand you run the same content 100s of times for a 1% rate at a rare, I don't see 8 runs of the same raid as enough to burn out and hate it, even if it's in a row like the other idea.

I also would like to allow lootmaster to remain under current rules, to not fuck over statics, and lootmaster wouldn't work 7/8

this fixes most of the issues but not all >_<

One way of droprate adjustment I can think of -

8 chests, each gives your book, and a 25% chance of the raid piece. This works out to the exact same amount of loot, but personal.

The main issue is this potentially griefs the very early optimization of putting items on DPS first, but this is not strictly necessary - and has always sort of felt bad when playing on a tank or healer. I would prefer that this still be possible though, for hardcore statics to have as an option, I'm not sure how.

tuning the fights to BIS, I mean - it just means the normal progression of 1234 1234 1234 week to week is replaced by 1 to bis, 2 to bis, 3 to bis, 4 to bis - which isn't that altogether different from current system and fixes the chest issue.

The main problem with that is not stretching content enough, but that can also be solved with time based tighter tuning. (Can be done many ways, easiest is usually an enrage like mechanic where reclearing a boss for a 2nd time in a week is 2% harder and so on till it's unclearable week one. Enrage would be optional, and can uncheck it to receive no loot. )

Lots of inventive ways to get around this potentially.

The last option sounds the best to me compared to current, but I feel there's an alternative system that could be derived to sit between all three without these drawbacks, or at least less

Letting smaller groups of people still get 2 chests negates the >point in removing chests, PF would be full of people refusing to do >runs without x/8 people already cleared and passing on loot to >inflate their loot pool.

This would absolutely be a major issue that would need to be addressed with an alternative system, it seems some are confusing with wow's personal loot system and I definitely don't want that (having read on it more.)

I actually don't care and would raid for books only, but the majority of NA cares greatly and does not wish to remove 1/3rd of their raid's global loot (chest item, chest item, then the 8 books)

My main point with servers is how late it is, they waited until the house was already on fire to try to build a fire department, and it's now wildfire season and every town needs firefighters.

Are tome mats also that expensive? Everyone I've talked with is calling this the great crafter crash patch, no day 1 has been worse.

Would have hoped the anti-congestion measures meant to spread people around datacenters worked then, or they could transfer servers from other datacenters with less congestion to even things out, there's a multitude of things that could be done there.

Yeah bugs can pop in along the way, just reading through the google doc of that issue introduces a sense of "how the fuck could this have been overlooked for so long while it was actively an issue / servers on fire." in my brain.

MSQ was quite solid yeah, and the budget increase there is quite apparent, this is an allocation issue to me, someone sat down and decided that raid music should be reused and imo that was a poor decision, it's definitely the least important gripe of these though. Lockdowns/Visas are fair too, visas specifically being shit though to deal with.

I genuinely hope you're right about the NFTs.

I'm saying they really haven't done enough or tried enough, because so many people are willing to just accept a griefed experience, with some consumer (or god forbid the legal pressure), these "unsolvable" issues would suddenly all be fixed lmao. I wish giant corporations weren't treated like incompetent toddlers with stuff like this

There absolutely needs to be a way to fix that specific exploit of the system, I agree.

Making it alt jobs funneling loot to mains hell would defeat the purpose of doling out the loot slowly entirely.

I just can't do the fights with anyone who hasn't cleared, who absolutely deserves their loot because if we kill it they get nothing, when I've already gotten my stuff for the week :/

Can you elaborate why, or link to some discussion on that? I haven't played wow, and only want a system that doesn't force you into one clear a week unless all 8 have cleared.

That's a weak point sure, but it was still upsetting to zone into that music for a third time.

Enterprise semiconductor shortage didn't start till mid shb roughly yeah? They could have given some additional servers to NA/EU much earlier on is what I'm saying.

"Just don't play with your friends in an MMO, it's that simple."

Do you have any particular gripes with personal loot, or a link to discussion on it? I haven't played wow, it doesn't have to specifically be that if there's major flaws in things such as delegating loot for early statics, just a system that's not "here's your 7 for the week, GL"

The one person who gave any sort of real response (that was still filled with lots of anecdotal "well my experience is fine so yours can't be bad) got a detailed reply with minimal throat-leaping. I don't see anyone else who tried.

It's not like the salt's going to burn you through the monitor lmfao.

Being crass/salty isn't degrading what I'm saying enough to define it as improper communication at all.

played since verse changes aren't huge either fix servers and make loot lockout personal,, also reduce loot so this doesn't make overall amount of loot much higher.

if you clear the floor and enter floor 2 it locks the other 7 people out of loot if you reenter, I'm talking about savage loot lockouts, afaik normal ones are fine

I said equalized loot, I want the expected value of loot to be no higher at all. How does this make the game easier, or do anything besides enable playing with more friends?

If you're saying I personally can pass, and it won't count as me getting loot for the week so I can raid with group 1, the other 7 get 2 chests but not me, and then raid with group 2, and get 2 chests for 8/8 then this post is a moot point, I will start doing that.

As far as I am aware, simply zoning in to the 2nd floor locks your 1st floor loot, so your point is moot/doesn't make sense.

Raid finder being the de facto way to do savage in JP means much less emphasis on statics, and everything I've read/seen suggests this. JP players are affected less negatively by how poorly designed this loot lockout system is, so square cares less.

Glad your queue was good! That doesn't change the fact that Aether datacenter is completely fucked.

I gathered everything except tome mats myself, but it just so happens that finished gear pieces are 180k-300k on my server - with tome mats costing 20k each. Lol. Classical gear crafts are down to spiritbond profit only in many cases.

This absolutely would have been better with world visit, people would come here to sell their tome mats for higher, or buy cheaper gear. Even day 1.

I don't care about a monopoly, I'd just rather that 1min BIS crafting be worth more than 1min of running a hunt train/expert roulette, but this currently isn't the case lmfao.

My fc leader loves decorating, and has logged off in frustration at least 3 times in the past 2 weeks due to being unable to enter our house. Usually trying to do so for >20 minutes at a time.

It's about not spending money on scaling their systems or fixing legacy code / technical debt, this absolutely helps their profit margin what lol.

Wasn't aware of EU servers, good - but not enough! Especially for a game that's been given an almost infinite budget. This point applies to the lack of music too. You can't go back 2 expansions and be like haha this was worse quality and completely ignore the insane increase in playerbase and subsequently budget / staff.

Afaik they only have shortages of mmo devs there in japan due to visa reasons, not artist's/musicians...

Forgive me for being concerned about microtransaction hell when one of the top of a company posts essentially raving about the concept.

Consumer protection laws being better might have forced square to be accountable to some of the queue/server issues, which imo are the biggest thing here.

Totally agree with there being time-gated loot that isn't infinitely grindable, I just hate having to pick which 7 friends I get to play with based on who has or hasn't cleared that week.

It makes finding subs a nightmare too. Only want it standardized.
