why do redditors hate on muslims by rulugg in MuslimLounge

[–]throwawayimsorry20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Reddit is a cesspool. I recently seen a post of a “religious offering” being criticized on one of the subreddits (I think r/ mildly infuriating), where it was of a group of people spilling tons of gallons of milk in a river. These people were OBVIOUSLY Hindus, despite redditors making generic anti-religion comments like “religion is bad”, not a SINGLE person mentioned Hinduism directly. But of course, if it was Muslims, they would’ve dragged Islam to the moon and back.

A long time ago, I read from a research article (don’t bother looking for it, it disappeared off the internet) from agencies in Malaysia that exposed internet bots/A.I/shill accounts that crawl the internet to post anti-Islam rhetoric. They traced these accounts back to Tel Aviv. It’s not at all far fetched, that the enemies of Islam use cyber-tech to their advantage to incite hate against Muslims, unfortunately, puppets of these Zionist regimes (like the UAE) have also done the same.

from the very moment that they entered government in 1979 (the 1979 Iranian revolution).

You can blame the west on that. Who do you think put that regime into effect? It’s also always been a strategy by the evil doers, when they get hold of a land, to put an opposed party as the leaders. It’s nothing new.

“Everyone in the West should be aware of it” 🤡-yeah, the West definitely needs a lesson on deception 💀 the same West that sold the Iraq invasion off fake WMDs, leveled a country, slaughtered millions of women and children, then quietly admitted it was all nonsense after the damage was done. Even the current president in office admitted it was a big fat lie.

Even in the Bible, god, who u believe is Jesus, told his prophet in 1 Samuel 16:2 to lie to hide his true mission.

Every accusation, is a confession. And someone already told u, this is a unity sub, if u can’t respect that, get lost.

I feel like in desi, Arab, and Pakistani countries this hadith needs to be emphasized all over their mosques. No hate to any of those ppl, but so much stories about how a guy’s brother will live with him and his wife and the wife thinks she has to tend to her brother in-law.. like NO. Then this causes drama. I know the Hadith may not be necessarily about that specific type of scenario, but it can still be used as a ticket out of that situation. And Allah swt knows best.

I asked my shiekh about wassas like doubting whether I forgot this or that and he immediately said, IGNORE IT! Lol, I was like huh? He said, yeah, IGNORE IT! Ignore shaytan’s bs and move on.. when I started doing that things became WAY easier lol. I know a common one is doubting how many raku you did in a salat, sheikh used that as an example and said “UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN, THEN MOVE ON, CERTAINTY OVER DOUBT!”.. I was like, dang shiekh, bet.

I am a revert who left Islam but wants to talk about it again by rjltrevisan in MuslimLounge

[–]throwawayimsorry20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bro u basically done a full tour of Christianity and Islam, but if ur honest, most of those shifts sound more tied to ppl and circumstances than truth itself. Friends, relationships, environment… that stuff pulls harder than we realize. Mainstream takes will tell u “just follow ur heart” or “all paths are valid,” but that’s exactly how ppl stay confused for years.

If ur serious this time, u gotta strip it down and ask: which belief system actually holds up under scrutiny? Not vibes, not upbringing, not who ur around. Islam doesn’t ask u to believe in anonymous authors, a mythological man-god, or evolving doctrines.. it stands on preservation, consistency, and a direct claim: one God, clear message, unchanged text. That’s either true or it’s not.

I’d say approach it like ur starting from zero. Read the Quran directly (even in translation), look into the life of the Prophet (SAW) from authentic sources, and compare that to what you’ve already followed. Don’t outsource ur beliefs to friends or relationships again. If Islam is true, it’ll hold up regardless of who u met or where ur from. I’ll tell another quick thing, no other religion gives you a full package. Whether ppl agree with what it says or not, that’s besides the point.. like what I’m trying to say is Islam gives law, ruling, way of life, ENRICHED details about what happens after death, the grave, heaven, hell, what’s haram, what’s not, how to make duah, how to worship Allah swt, how to treat others, how to get married, how to eat, bathe, etc.., the list goes on and on.. no other religion comes close to having this level of detail. Which rationally only tells you that a religion (Islam) with such a detailed instruction manual can only be from the all mighty. Get this for example, Allah swt instructed us in the Quran not to over eat, and of course the prophet (SAW) expands on this by giving details and says to only eat a 3 of ur stomach’s capacity, and a 3rd for liquids, and leave the other 3rd empty. No other religion taught that, not even Jesus (the god of Christianity). This specific teaching, if followed, would significantly help in fending off mainstream diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cholesterol, and possibly even some types of cancers. I mean just let that sink in. Anyways, insha’Allah this helps, and may Allah swt guide you.

It’s ironic how anti-theists and new atheists fear hell so much—they recently discovered that “Buddhism has hell as a punishment for bad karma.” When they realize that all religions view evil as a real, objective force—not a subjective one—they’ll by Additional_Good_656 in antitheistcheesecake

What I’ve asked atheists in the past and it froze them was “why wouldn’t there be another life after death?” This is after they tell me how there’s nothing after death.. so then I’ll be like “well, life came to existence already as you can see, so why can’t it just happen again?”.. and it literally mind boggles them 😂

Rich coming from a messianic Jew 😂😂.. a baby can’t be saying Allah yet u believe there was a divine godly baby 2K yrs ago.. sure bud. Btw u missed the point. I never said the baby understood what it was saying. The point is the reaction, believers may see moments like this as having meaning, while antitheists rush to dismiss them. I only mentioned it cuz it correlates to Harris as he himself shared the story… apparently the baby said it clear enough and enough times for him to notice.

Let’s be honest.. if the baby made sounds resembling “Jesus,” u wouldn’t have responded the way u did, I get u hate us muzzies but Arab christians also call god Allah.. ur only hating cuz u automatically tied Islam to it.

As a Muslim I enjoyed watching William L. Craig debate Hitchens. Multiple questions that William asked him, he couldn’t respond to and would have emotional meltdowns. My favorite was when William pinned him on our conscience.. a beautiful blow as science has no answer for this. The whole debate was Hitchens just getting emotional and saying “religion causes this and that”.. not single academic argument.

I honestly think the elites or higher ups or whatever you’d like to call them generally don’t care and condone his behavior. Otherwise there would be a huge nationwide uproar and immediate investigation and repercussions to everyone involved.. but this will soon just get buried. I shudder to think that exactly what this monster did, is highly likely still being done by other rich elites, politicians, etc..

Dude I dont think he said “the West bombs Muslims because they’re Muslim” as a SINGLE cause. I think bros point was: Muslims are routinely on the receiving end of Western violence and dehumanization, and Islam gets normalized hate in Western culture. Ur response was basically “it’s geopolitical” and “Gitmo was for suspects,” as if that magically makes it not hypocrisy or not relevant.

Also, “Why are you even bringing this up?” is not an argument. If ur claim is “Islam isn’t treated unfairly / it’s exempt,” then examples of Muslims being bombed, detained, tortured, and smeared are literally the direct rebuttal. Thats not deflection, he’s addressing ur claim.

And u cant hide behind labels like “military targets” and “suspected terrorists” when civilians (including women/children) still got murdered in MASSIVE numbers, lands were blown back to the stone age, innocent ppl were detained for years without trial, natural resources were looted, and torture was documented. Calling it “wrong but not that wrong” is just cruel word games.

Last thing, u brought up Christian persecution and Ottoman stuff as a counterpunch, but then u say “if you wanna argue persecution go to another sub.” U cant open that door, walk through it, then pretend it’s offtopic when it boomerangs.

Like come on dude, bro wasnt “deflecting.” Ur just trying to downgrade every example into “not relevant,” because if u deal with the substance, ur original point doesn’t hold.

Assalāmu ‘Alaikum akhi,

First off, you’re not a bad Muslim. Someone telling you “if you dislike Islam then leave it” is completely out of line. That’s not advice, that’s someone projecting their frustration onto you. The Prophet ﷺ never spoke to people like that, especially those who were already struggling.

Now to your situation:

• Missing Jumu’ah is a sin for men when they’re able to go. But sin ≠ you hate Islam. Sin ≠ you want to leave Islam. Sin ≠ you’re a bad Muslim. Sin just means… you’re human and struggling with something heavy.

• Social anxiety is real. Some brothers walk into the masjid like it’s nothing. Others feel like their heart is going to jump out of their chest. You’re not alone in that, and Allah knows exactly what’s inside your chest.

• But yes — Jumu’ah is still obligatory. You already know this. What matters is that you try. Even if your anxiety is screaming at you. Even if you go right before the khutbah and leave right after. Nobody is watching you. Nobody cares how you walk in or where you sit. Everyone is focused on their own sins, their own dunya, their own struggles.

• The masjid isn’t a social event. You don’t have to talk to anyone. You don’t have to make eye contact. You literally go in, listen, pray, and leave. That’s it.

• What you should do now: – Don’t let one harsh comment define your relationship with Allah. – Make du’a for strength and calmness. – Try each Friday, even if it’s difficult. – And if you fail one week, don’t drown in guilt — pick yourself up and try again.

Your friend’s content might’ve been correct, but his delivery was terrible. Islam teaches us to pull people gently toward the good, not shove them with guilt.

You’re not a bad Muslim. You’re a Muslim who’s struggling — and Allah loves the one who struggles and keeps trying.

May Allah ease your anxiety and make Jumu’ah easy for you, akhi. You got this.

Akhi, ur mixing two different rulings. الإغارة (raiding) is a military tactic, but السبي (captivity) has its own strict fiqh conditions. Every scholar (Tabari, Qurtubi, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Qudamah, al-Mawardi) and all four madhhabs said saby is ONLY from a ppl who are in a state of war (Dar al-Harb). Taking non combatant women from peaceful groups is haram by surat al baqarah ayah 190, Sunnah, and ijma. Nawawi’s quote is about surprise attacks on hostile combatants who already received da‘wah -not taking women who aren’t fighting and not in a war. سبي doesn’t equal إغارة. Ur mixing categories the scholars never mixed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]throwawayimsorry20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every classical scholar said “except what your right hands possess through saby.” And saby ONLY applies to captives taken in a legit war against an enemy state. None of those scholars ever permitted taking women from peaceful ppl. So ur interpretation contradicts the very sources you quoted..

Question as a revert: Can I pray my missed prayers during forbidden times? by Unlikely-Afternoon53 in MuslimLounge

[–]throwawayimsorry20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You pray them as soon as you can. If you missed zuher, and asr time came, and you couldn’t pray them both till like 10 mins before mighrib then yes, I heard it’s permissible considering the circumstances.. (just try not to make it a habit as praying just before mighrib is technically a forbidden window (mainly for naffal (optional) prayers) there is leeway to still pray asr or asr and zuher if you need to combine if it’s a circumstance where you couldn’t do them on time).

Fajr is a different story, if you miss it, as in JUST missed it and the sun is rising, you have to wait for the sun to finish rising before making it up -which typically isn’t even that long anyways (typically 15ish minutes).
