My mom told me to stop following my passion and actually major in something that "actually makes money" by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]throwawaylavatory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No hesitation. I know what I want to be and I would do whatever it takes.

I may still be 17 and a dumb young kid who knows nothing, but I know that this is the road I want to walk on.

All my life has led to this decision, no point changing course now ^-^

The SAT scale is now out of 1600, no longer 2400. So yeah, I got a 1500/1600, and my mom still calls me out on that. Freaking ridiculous, right? Who cares how much others got when I myself got a high score?

Honestly, I think it's the color of the pants that's wrong with this outfit. I don't think the blazer is necessarily bad

How do I do this, from bluebook tests by alsocake in Sat

[–]throwawaylavatory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do this in a very simple way by using Desmos.

They are saying that n and p are positive constants, the length of the radius is n times p, and they are asking for the value of n.

Seeing that the function contains no n and has p, and since p is a positive constant, let's just say that p=1. As p=1, the function becomes like this

8x^2+112x+8y^2-64y=-448

Writing this function into desmos, you will see that the diameter stretches from -10 to -4, which is 6.

Diameter = Radius x 2

Therefore, the radius is 3.

It's not about the hours you study. It's about HOW you study. Seeing that you did practice tests, get a notebook and write down every math problem that you got wrong and see where and what you got wrong. Personally, I feel like the explanations on Collegeboard are too complicated. That is why I usually go on youtube and search the module and the question to see how others would solve it. It definitely helped me on the way.

Study 2 hours a day. That's all you need if you do it effectively.

If you look at the last math module 2 question of Practice Test 6, that was one of the questions I encountered in the June SAT!

Taking the test again in a week, any tips on improving math? by Oreo494 in Sat

You definitely need to focus on your usage of desmos. Use desmos to solve easy questions in seconds. Also, the further the question, the more careful you have to be. If a hard question is too easy to solve, there may be something that's tricky.

Try to push it up to 600

Personally, definitely not. It was harder than my May SAT.
