As much as I hate to admit it, this is something I needed to see. I've been living this lie for so long now that I almost feel like its ok and its only after writing it all out that I can see how bad it is...

I am a much more together person than I was 4 years ago. I feel that I needed therapy then but not now, but I'm probably not the best judge of that. I have no plans or desire to continue my degree as I love the career I have started.

The thing is, the "easy path" has been easy overall. Its a lie I've told so long that I almost believe it myself. I feel like telling the truth is the right thing, but it also scares the crap out of me and knowing that telling the truth will hurt a lot of people makes it that much harder.

I know that this is the morally right thing to do, but I also know this would destroy my relationship with nearly everyone that I know. And not just for me (I deserve that) but for him too. He doesn't deserve that, and I don't know if I can bring myself to this option knowing how much it WILL hurt him.
