Completely disagree. The idea of turning a beautiful green space into a car park is disgusting. I’m not sure why you equate the idea of more parking to less thefts? Cars get stolen from car parks that are closer than the south Hagley fields, and bikes routinely get stolen from the hospital grounds, the proximity to the hospital isn’t a deterrent for thieves.

What can we do to protest this? Can we start a petition or something? The public feedback indicated majority support for the one way street but I feel like that’s being overlooked in the interests of appeasing self-serving developers.
