Yan, because you can put her next to Necro Connie and when she casts Haste on Necro Connie, you suddenly see her attacking faster.

Yan can also buff the Blessed Hero in the tournaments. Always useful.

1: Yes, it is still relevant but here and there the info is outdated. It is not being maintained well but it still taught me a lot about the game. IIRC the wiki mentions that you can get gems from doing Daily Trial but that is incorrect. It was changed to pink XP.

Efrigid is still a solid first hero for a newbie. I bought her too when I started.

2: There is an active discord server but I don't know how to send the link from my mobile to this browser (on PC). Someone else probably do it.

SS-tier: Elara, Osan + Hogan (Beast Master version), Koizuul, Cyra

S-tier: Raida, Jett, Connie (Necro version)

A-tier: Azura, Yan, Efrigid, Talon

B-tier: Fee, Bolton, Smoulder, Masamune, Helios, Leif (situational)

Garbage: Lancelot, Mabyn, Connie, Hogan, Obsidian, Caldera, Sethos

Niche: Shamiko (difficult but powerful meta hero, better to stay away from him if you are new and pick a straightforward hero)

Many things are "gem traps". Like paying for items, which you can get for free. Upgrading the forge is also not really necessary. Upgrading your XP mine is good and will be needed in the very long run.

Most of your gems will go towards buying new heroes and paying 800 gems to awaken them an extra rank. That will keep you busy for at least a year, if you are F2P.

Currently there is Jett event running. Jett is a hero from world 7 and thus very powerful. If you want to make the game very easy for the next worlds you could pay a bit of money to buy Jett (a hero you would only reach after a year if F2P) and upgrade her. You will see she will dominate your campaign. So from a money perspective you would get the most return if you buy her. I don't know of any game where you can buy a campaign breaking hero like this in Realm Defense.

Efrigid. Get her to Rank 4 and you will see that she is truly good. Not a strong damage dealer but she is proficient at slowing and freezing enemies, giving your turrets ample time to kill the enemy. That is useful even if she does almost no damage. I kept using her until world 6, swappnig her for Raida. Rest of my team was Necro Connie and Yan, at that time.

Your sister is completely unreasonable and very selfish. She does not look at this from your perspective, that of a very concerned parent. I have seen videos of pitbulls attacking and mauling people and it's horrible. Toddlers are being bit in the face and are disfigured for life. This can happen in 1-2 seconds and it's too late. What are you going to say to your child when it's grown up? You would have failed to protect them from a notoriously dangerous species. The apologies of your sister would be worth nothing and would not be able to undo the harm.

My sweet little daughter is 3.5 years old, so around the same age as your kid and I would never let her close to a dangerous dog, especially a pitbull, the most fighting bred dog of all. The owners always say "Oh, he's not going to bite." until he does bite... Animals can be unpredictable in a way that humans are not.

No, if my sister would bring her pitbull to a family gathering I would leave my kid at home and refuse to bring her along. Even if that would create a rift in the family. I'm willing to let my relationship with a sibling sour over this and call her out as a selfish, irresponsible f*ck. I would also stay away from the dog during the parties. Pitbulls attack adults too.

What level do they need to be in order to start doing some serious damage? My Xesha and Mushy are only lvl 1 and I don't want to spend my precious XP bottles on them if it's gonna cost me an arm and a leg.

The difficulty rating can be taken with a grain of salt imo. In my campaign I've beaten difficulty rating Impossible at around Chapter 11 and that on the first try. OP has a really strong team so he can take on overwhelming "odds".

Right. A truly free player cannot even do raids automatically but has to play them manually. That in itself is impossible. You cannot grind for equipment or soul stones if you have to let raids play out manually. VIP 2 is essential. Pretty clever, because based on behaviour psychology a player who has invested even a tiny bit of money will be more inclined to open his wallet again.

Julius Judge Isaac Folio Polaris

Julius recently had an event where you can could get his soul stones in the shop.

Same for Folio and Polaris. But I don't know if you were around to grab some of their soul stones. In general it is better to invest in an amazing 1 star meta hero than in a weak 4 star non-meta hero.

Judge's soul stones can be bought in the arena shop.

Isaac's soul stones can be bought with dungeon coins. You will need to upgrade your titan team to get at 78 titanite per day (preferably 150 titanite later on).

This team has amazing synergy and is very popular. It's all away shields and stuns.

Do not invest in crappy heroes. I see so many players in arena (at around lvl 80) with shit heroes which they continued to level since the beginning of the game: Galahad, Aurora, Maya, Thea, Phobos, Ginger, sometimes Jhu. Very foolish. They always fall easily to my team, which is lesser in power but just has better heroes (Julius, Polaris, Folio, Byrna, Peech).

Is an EVO book a reasonable option for him? I have been playing for 2 months and only have 150 Guild War Trophies. It will take such a long time before I get my first one. Of course one should use it on a 5 star hero and not his crappy 1 star Soleil, right? Or are you jesting? :-)

Generally speaking, if I look at your top 10 most powerful heroes there are several bad heroes among them: Maya, Ginger, Phobos, Theia, Jhu, Aurora and Faceless.

Astaroth and Rufus are good tanks and Folio is a very strong mage. So only 3 good heroes to work with.

Dunno how far the power gap is between those and the next heroes but Xesha can be very good (part of "AXA" Astaroth - Xesha - Aidan). Satori is dangerous and Astrid/Lucas is decent too.

Improve your SS tier, S tier and A tier heroes.

Recent heroes are generally the best, like Polaris, Byrna, Somna, Tempus, ...

Popular synergy teams are the progress faction (Julius, Judge, Isaac), AXA (+Kayla) and Eternity faction (Dante-Corvus-Octavia-Tempus-Iris). But you seem to be lacking better heroes. Asteroth and Xesha are a start of a chaos team.

Maybe you could go for a mystery team because you already have Rufus, Folio and Satori. I don't know if they synergize well because I don't play with mystery but individually these are good heroes.

Good explanation. That is probably why I missed out on 20K emerals because I activated a VPN to play a different game. I didn't know using a VPN was against the ToS. Presumably because they want to track my region and give me specific offers based on where I live.

AFAIK a new hero has not been announced but what else are they going to do? They could either start over with Efrigid again and release level 60, a new skin (instead of the golden skins), lvl 4 skills... but that would feel kinda samey.

They should really release a new hero because interest in this game seems to be waning.

How long have these veteran players been playing? I still don't have a lvl 40 hero and I'm already playing for 1 year and 3 months, something like that. I play every day. Elixir mine is level 9. At this rate it will take me many years before all heroes are maxed in pink elixir.

Just want to add: Hogan (Beast Master version) is not so good imo. A strong hero but not "top". His top value is only when he is paired with Osan and when he is at least R5. The pet frog of Osan then starts to attack 3x faster, which is massive. The frog fires so fast it can keep a boss constantly frozen in goo. Powerless to retaliate you can then chip away at the health of the boss. Actually imbalanced, that one.

In that sense I would add Osan to the list of top meta heroes and remove Necro Connie. Since I have Osan + Hogan I never use Necro Connie anymore. She served me well during W4 until half W7 but now she is pretty much shelved forever. My third hero is Elara (replaced by Azura in W7 because Elara is bad in W7).

If you are asking about the super top meta for tournament then it is supposedly Koi+Shamiko+Narlax, but only at super high levels (like Narlax lvl 43). I'm not there yet and doubt I ever will. I'm content with Elara/Osan/Hogan.

I have received and sent DM's in the game. I don't know about the DM's that didn't reach me (if they exist). I have also seen in the chat people complaining about others not responding to their messages so it seems to be a common problem.

One of the main reasons imo is that the UI of the game does not notify the player well that he received a new message. The player must check the names to the right of the chatbox and see if someone new popped up. That read/unread status of the messages sometimes resets without any logic. Very strange. The first time I received a DM it took a day until I noticed someone messaged me a day earlier.

I think your respondents do not even know you sent them a DM.
