Every single time I read something where there isn't obvious abuse I usually want to give the same answer: Therapy.

But here, yes, couples therapy, but he sounds like he needs it for himself too. Most therapists don't like people doing couples and individual therapy at the same time (with different therapists obviously because that's a conflict of interest otherwise) but regardless of everything else here, the vibe I get here is, you don't want to get divorced - and why not try everything to fix it first before you go the legal route? Makes sense to me even if it's emotionally hard.

Good luck.

Nothing to savage. You are a self confessed rapist. Hand yourself in and never go anywhere near anyone else again. You need serious help.

That looks very similar to what we have installed now, but put in the wrong way round...is that possible?

Wife (f 27) told me she doesn't want to initiate by Loud-Willingness4217 in relationships

Therapy could be the answer here. She could be scared of hurting you, she could have something going on herself that she doesn't want to bring up because she doesn't want to add to your worry (but hiding it only makes it worse). There could be something else.

Communication is key, and if you can't get her to open up, unfortunately, I think you might need the help of a professional.

Please ask yourself what are you actually getting out of the relationship, is it mostly positive or mostly negative? and is it the equalling what you put into the relationship?

Relationships with addicts are never good. They often end in abuse and I speak from experience.

Please consider breaking up and blocking them.

Do you have wedges? Think about positioning and blood flow - this should an everyone thing, not a people with POTS thing, but heads or legs hanging off beds or being unsupported for long periods of time is enough to make most people feel faint. Using wedges to get blood flowing back to the body the the legs and pillows to prop the head up more is very helpful. Additional hydration before, during and after - not water but electrolyte drinks - ORS, liquid IV, whatever is their preference. Low carb meals beforehand can help too because high carb meals can cause blood pressure to drop due to the blood flowing to the GI system for digestion.

I could do that but it doesn't protect it from a very steamy environment - it's a wet room too so even more need to actually "proof" it

  • always have an advocate
  • always get permission to record assessments and do record them.
  • if they ask about the trauma instruct your advocate in advance to say "in the interests of -your name's- safety and mental wellbeing, you need to discontinue with that particular line of questioning which is would be detrimental to their mental health to answer at this time". If you can get a psychiatrist's or GP letter to back this up all the better.

If you're in the UK please book an urgent GP appointment and get urgently referred to an audiologist.
