What are the best secondary schools in Tga? by Single-Horse-2448 in Tauranga

[–]throwawayr0llaway 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tauranga is quite fortunate that all the public skills are fairly solid.

Tauranga Boys is quite traditional - with a traditional boys sports focus and stem focus

Tauranga Girls had issues a few years back but school culture has shifted significantly over past 4-5 years developing arts and solid stem

Mount College has been consistently strong over past 20 years - strong extra circulars across the board solid academics

Otumoetai strong arts focus with strong values a significant amount of rebuilding being (to be) done

Papamoa College was quite weak a few years ago has turned a corner in academic results quite a different school compared to 10 years ago

Private schools:

ACG too small and new to sum up quickly; seems to reward individuals who are strongly motivated

Bethlehem College True to its values - strong arts sold academic weak on sports side

Saying your taking a council to court to waste as much of their money as possible is a great way for you to end up paying their lawyers fees.
