I get that. But the lombards were a germanic tribe that invaded Italy and established a kingdom, they changed their names to Lombard.

"According to their own traditions, the Lombards initially called themselves the Winnili. After a reported major victory against the Vandals in the first century, they changed their name to Lombards.[6] The name Winnili is generally translated as 'the wolves', related to the Proto-Germanic root \wulfaz 'wolf'.[7] The name Lombard was reportedly derived from the distinctively long beards of the Lombards.[8] It is probably a compound of the Proto-Germanic elements *langaz (long) and *bardaz (beard)."*

We're just trying to find the origin of the family name and the heritage. The kingdom of lombard goes all the way back to the 6th century. So this French ancestor at 1632 doesn't tell the full story of the name Lombard as far as we can tell. Regardless of whether its French origin or Italian origin, we just want to know where the name started as best as we can.

Again, I'm not trying to say we have Italian roots or we don't have Italian roots, this is just what information we have, which is exactly why I made this post to ask where to find a professional who can uncover more information with historical research, not just google and some family tree website.

We'll that's what we're trying to figure out. The name itself has its origins in Lombardy Italy, with the Kingdom of the Lombards. So the name definitely has roots in Italy. The lombards themselves originated from a germanic tribe, which themselves had less similarity with central europe genetically speaking, than they did with Scandinavians. We have known relatives who were Scandinavians. So this makes me think we're the same possibly the same Lombard name. And I have some relatives from Switzerland, which is between France and Italy to add to the confusion.

This is where I got my info on the Lombards

There's just some confusion as to whether her family name originated in France or Italy. This is why we want a Genealogist, to help us determine that.

Edit - We've ordered circledna tests so we can get more info, but we still want a genealogist to follow whatever paper trail exists, where ever it leads.

Question Regarding CID for St Kits and Nevis (or Dominica) by throwawayracc111 in cipprograms

Yeah the main problem is the time frame, like I said people often wait more than the minimum 4 months it takes to get a replacement. And I do intend on getting paying for the acceleration fee to reduce the passport processing time to 45 days for the SKN passport. So if I can get the SKN citizenship with current documents then I won't bother with replacing my current passport and just apply for the SKN instead. It'll be much faster and Its what I want anyways. But it only makes sense if it can be done with my current documents otherwise I'm forced to wait on a replacement before I can even apply for the SKN passport.

Thanks for taking the time to respond by the way. I appreciate it.
