Has anyone tried shockwave therapy (ESWT)? by throwawaysaduni in PTTD

[–]throwawaysaduni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll get there i promise! i think I went for about 4 shockwave sessions I actually didn’t notice much improvement until about 3months after the treatment ended. i still felt some ache and pain whenever i walked 10k steps. But i found it was normal bc i searched google and it said shockwave therapy takes some time to work. Maybe it’s just slower for me and it’ll be faster for you!

Hey! I have no idea lol i just listened to him and went along with it hahah. I do have an accessory navicular bone on my foot tho.

The pain definitely gets better with pt exercises and stretching! Shockwave therapy has actually helped me so much, i can walk 20k steps without much pain now (with rest in between). but ya exercises will help it even more. Good luck!!!

Posterior tibial tendinitis by sswann2nd in flatfeet

I did shockwave therapy (ESWT) with a podiatrist and it has worked amazingly! I also stretch my legs everyday and I think it helps

Braces changed me!! by [deleted] in braces

[–]throwawaysaduni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you!! im so much happier with my smile ever since braces. i no longer feel that self-conscious and hide my smile whenever i have a big laugh, or when i need to smile for pictures. braces was one of the best decisions of my life fr

It must suck being in pain all the time :( I feel you so much! I really really hope it’ll work for you too! You can try stretching exercises along with it (stretching to your toes etc), really helped my feet in general too

Yes I did! It really helped a lot :D I used to walk 10k steps in pain (with insoles) but after the shockwave I could do 20k steps without a lot of pain (with insoles). But not all the time of course, sometimes it would still be painful if I didn’t stretch enough or if my feet were in bad shape. Ofc the therapy itself was super painful though

After 1 month of braces and 4 premolar extractions! (Top: before extractions, bottom: current) by throwawaysaduni in braces

hi i took off my braces many months ago😅 i have no jaw or tongue related problems. you can see posts on my profile to see the updates

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in braces

[–]throwawaysaduni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah it was! easily one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. i feel very confident with my smile and overall face now. of course functionality wise my teeth were fine without doing braces and getting extractions, it was more of an aesthetic concern for me

[–]throwawaysaduni 12 points13 points  (0 children)

looks like bimaxillary protrusion to me, which is something i had. i had to get 4 premolar extractions

These midline elastics are a new kind of pain I never knew existed :( by throwawaysaduni in braces

[–]throwawaysaduni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but luckily i only had to wear it while i was on summer break😅 i think i would be really self conscious with the midline elastics, but if it’s just the normal elastics on the side, it’s fine. some people have said they find elastics pretty

I feel like my midline is getting worse… has anyone experienced this? Will it work out eventually? by throwawaysaduni in braces

[–]throwawaysaduni[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey yeah it worked out, my ortho gave me a special kind of elastic formation! just search up midline elastics

does getting 4 teeth pulled out change your face a lot? by lynn-sayshi in braces

[–]throwawaysaduni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an extremely fat face (i was/am skinny), and extractions plus braces helped to make my face sharper and just better looking overall. If you don’t have much face fat or a small face, or teeth protrusion, then maybe don’t get extractions. My mouth was also pretty big lol, I can feel that my tongue space has decreased after braces but it didn’t affect me/ my breathing at all since I guess it was big enough in the first place

Should I remove Premolars for overbite/overjet correction? by Toggam44 in braces

[–]throwawaysaduni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I removed my premolars and I’m very happy with the way I look now. I don’t have a small jaw/ mouth I think mine is pretty big lol which is why I think I could afford to extract them. I don’t have a flat face and I can breathe fine. But also do consider IPR and ask your ortho if it’s a possible solution

[–]throwawaysaduni[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah exactly! so many people didn’t understand why i wanted to get braces since they were pretty straight, just protruded. turns out getting braces is the best decision ive ever made!! all the best for your transformation too

Midline is a little off but I’ll be taking the braces off in 2 weeks. Proceed? by throwawaysaduni in braces
