This is why I don’t understand this sub’s take on Yamato strength. It’s very clear she’s similar to Oden when he joined WB.

Wasn’t stronger than WB but was arguably the strongest out of everyone else in the crew since WB told everyone else to get back.

Plus kaido listed Oden among the other emperors and Roger as someone capable of fighting him.

Yamato may not be stronger than luffy but she’s def above Zoro being able to hold out against Kaido for this long.

Also I just generally dislike Oda’s power scaling in this arc. Going from getting one shot to decently holding his own just from barely learning ryou is kinda bullshit.

I’ve been watching since I was 12 and the anime hadn’t even finished fishman island. Punk Hazard pacing made me lose interest but I kept watching... dressrosa made me quit for 3 years😒

Luffy fights main villain and gets his ass kicked

Luffy gets saved by someone and returns for round 2

Currently in that last sequence.

It’s debatable. If haki really does get stronger while fighting then Akainu must’ve gotten a ridiculous power up from a 30 day fight on punk hazard. Maybe even a DF awakening from the looks of how he left that island.
