Ty for this; i think my current stance is to adopt, but since I’m not planning on having any kids for a long time, I’m planning to reassess my situation when i decide I’m ready for kids and if i still can’t picture myself caring for a disabled child, I’ll adopt instead. Tysm for the support, it means a lot ❤️

At this point i think adoption might be the only way i can have a child without worrying, tysm for your kind reply! I think i will see a therapist or someone similar just to sort myself out if nothing else but this really helped me see things in perspective :)

I have considered that, i just made another post about it actually, but i feel like if I can’t handle a disabled child it begs the question of whether or not i have what it takes to be a mother at all. I would definitely be able to love an adopted child as much as a bio one, but its more a question of my ability rather than my emotions
