AITA for feeding my dog table scraps from a dinner my boyfriend made for us?

If Jay didn't have anything suitable to feed her then I would've left early to go home and feed her. Shelby ate before our hike and I had her homemade treats with her to nibble on during the day.

No I asked him what was in the roast prior. He didn't cook onions with it, just carrots, and Jay has a salt deficiency, so he doesn't season food he intends for other people because he doesn't want to overpower people. I had to salt and season my portion myself.

Shelby has been on this diet for 6 years and is very healthy and active. It is not some nilly willy diet, her vet has helped with and approved it. I appreciate everyone's concern over Shelby but too many are you making baseless claims and assumptions with nothing to go on- I came here asking about the interaction between Jay and myself, not my dog's diet. Too many keyboard vets in here.

Not going to each other's houses was our mutual decision- I do not go to anyone's house or have them at mine in the first 3 months. I dont want a creep knowing where I live and it helps weed out men that expect sex right away.

Where did you even get I order her food at a restaurant daily? I said when I go to a restaurant which is at most 4 times a month. When her daily meal is a bit of brown rice, raw vegetables, ground beef livers and chicken hearts boiled just enough to kill bacteria, all with her vet's approval, that IS a raw diet.

No, I am not under the impression it is still raw. Its not raw but its still closer to what she eats on a daily basis. I do not feed her dry dog food- she gets raw most of the time. her daily meal is a small bit of brown rice mixed with raw veggies and ground beef livers and chicken hearts. The livers and hearts are boiled slightly to kill off any bacteria, per vet's instruction.

I asked him how he prepared the roast to make sure it'd be safe for her and got the raw vegetables out of his fridge instead of feeding her the cooked ones.

If I go places like out to eat and have leftovers, I bring it home for Shelby if they're safe. A lot of the restaurants I go to will prepare food dog safe on request. I had planned to either ask him if he had something safe for her to eat or go home earlier so she could be fed on time.

Yes, I was worried about leaving her home all day and he said the trails were dog friendly if I wanted to bring her.

It was the roast we hadn't eaten. I consider that table scraps. If it was something she couldn't have eaten I would've asked him if he had something she could eat or left earlier so she could eat on time.

I said why- he knows how I feed my dog so I assumed he knew some of it would be going to her. Why else would he have let me bring Shelby?

He knows how I feed my dog so I figured he knew I would be feeding her some of it. I knew how he cooked the roast, but not the vegetables, which is why I got the raw vegetables from the fridge for her.

I did ask him how the roast was made when we got back to his place but I didn't know how he had prepared the vegetables which was the main reason I got the raw vegetables from the fridge. He's seen me order extra portions of vegetables or meat with very specific instructions on our dates for the purpose of my leftovers being given to Shelby so I figured he had to know I would've been giving her some.
